Thank you all. Your prayers are much appreciated by those of us lving in the Maryland/Va/Wash. D.C. area.

Many of us have family and friends in Metro; my wife and I still have plenty of friends there from when we lived there. My aunt and uncle are in Fairfax (mind you, my aunt runs the victim witness program for the Fairfax Co. PD, so I'm even more skittish 'bout her), my brother-in-law, his wife and sons are in Montgomery Co.

I can appreciate the nervousness that everyone there feels; I'm more than glad to add my voice to everyone else's here as they go on high. May the Heavenly Father protect them, and protect us all in this time of great uncertainty.

thanks. i work in kensington and live in silver spring. i am self-employed and have to work (indoors thankfully)to meet upcoming deadlines. i have been using couriers for deilveries that i otherwise would have done myself. my wife and 3 children went out of town for the long weekend. it is hard to put in words the fear that pervades the area.

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I have personally experienced the power of prayer to heal and protect.

My son and his family live in Fairfax County, VA. Later this month he will be starting a new job in the MD area where the sniper attacks first began.

May God protect all Freepers & their families in the countries surrounding DC. May God give wisdom and guidance to all those trying to capture the murderer.

Lord, we thank You that we can turn to You as a refuge in these times of clear and present danger. We're about 50 miles north of the area, but our local MD schools are in "lockdown," too. No field trips, no recess, everybody on high alert. We had planned to take the kids to the Renaissance Festival in the Annapolis area tomorrow, but the rain and the sniper have cancelled that for us. Darling husband, however, will be going to DC on Tuesday for a medical appointment. Hope they catch this lunatic before then.
