A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/10/02

Speaking from the Roosevelt Room at the White House, President Bush thanked the House for passing an Iraq resolution by a vote of 296-133. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle shocked many today as he crossed party lines that he had drawn a few weeks ago, and decided to back the President's plan. The White House also announced today that Bush will be traveling a lot between now and November 5th, traveling to key election states such as South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan and Florida. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The only thing that bothers me about this is if the dems don't have to play by the rules and we do, we are going to eventually lose.

The other night hubby and I watched the tape of the 60 Minutes interview ..... he had not seen it when it aired. I found it as spell-binding as I did the night it was shown! I felt the anger again for what was done to our country ..... and the tremendous admiration and respect for the President ..... his courage, his instintiveness of what had to be done, his steadfastness. We are so blessed!

This is a tape that needs to be watched again and again ..... each time you pick up details you missed the first time.

Thank you so much for offering us the copies, Deb!

He said he wanted to vote for the Joe Biden Ammendment, But when it gets shot down I believe he will vote for it in the end. I have been listening to all of their statements and he seemed like he is on-board now

Right! As if, if we did NOTHING, no innocents would die? ha! The whole reason we (the good guys) take action is to prevent a greater number of innocents from dying!

Have you been listening in on my conversation with a friend today? Deja vu! We said, almost word for word, what you said about Dubya being a gentleman and how it makes the Dems look so stupid in comparison. We even discussed that some Repubs have been so angry because Dubya hasn't gotten down to the Dems level, but he was RIGHT not to do it.

What's nice is that my friend is NOT on FR, doesn't even own a computer, and yet she knows what's going on. We are not alone. Thank God.

...But he's [President Bush] been doing what was right .... what the Lord commands us to do ..... and now the contrast between the President and the left has become almost comically obvious. Their thrashing and ranting now is making them look so absurd ..... so fake-y and hypocritical ..... while he maintains his same calm but resolute demeanor and is being so consistent ..... and the American public is finally seeing what we have known all along ...... :-)

This is perhaps the most concise, well written summation of what is taking our country by storm just now-the impact of the contrast between, dare I say it, Good vs Evil. Because lying is evil. Especially when those lies are meant to fool those less able to access another point of view.

I know in my soul that our Father is answering prayers for the truth to fall upon our nation. In a very wonderful way. Rather like the story of the emporer has no clothes....there is humor as well as great satisfaction is seeing the pompous, lying vile liberal elites parade more nekkid (naked) by the day towards election day!

Why did the Republican withdraw in Montana? Just because he was losing?

If they aren't going to put anyone else on the ballot a la New Jersey, then that withdrawal doesn't make any sense...

Unless, the Dems have "the pictures" and the race is going to get even slimier and he doesn't want to endure that public humiliation.

If it is simply that he is gay, as is our Arizona Senator, then he should just own up, and say "Yes, I am, and a. I am not practicing because I believe it is wrong, or b. I do not think that is a valid reason to attack a candidate."

Either way, I think he would garner respect if not support, and the election results wouldn't be any different.

So, maybe there are more pictures out there and that is why he withdrew.

But a write in hasn't got a prayer. People should just vote for the current candidate who withdrew just to protest the attack ads if nothing else.

Only Racicot could have beat Baucus, and he has withdrawn from political elections and political appointments that require Senate approval, perhaps for similar reasons, that is, that the Dems would wage a slime attack on him and his kids aren't adults yet and he doesn't want to put his kids through that.

"Does anyone else think that perhaps the photographers are trying to take better pictures of the President these days? There sure have been some unusually georgeous ones lately!!!"

Maybe more women are taking up photography at the White House.

Lil Tommy finally got the idea that his base back home was on the side of the nation, and not his side, so he had to step up! President Bush played this one beautifully. Thank God he now has the legislation he needed to do what he has to do.
