I heard the reporter on TV 4 news in DC say they also recovered a casing from the Fredericksburg shooting last Friday. That shooting victim also survived. She was released from the hospital a day or two ago.

They (PW County spokeswoman) also said the van is a panel van with no back windows, I'm assuming, and she said there are not as many of this type of van.

No to all your questions. They think it may be related. Another press conference coming up at noon. Just walked in myself about 15 minutes ago and on CNN they were showing police had cordoned off a vehicle and told people in a local restaurant and hotel to leave. Don't know anything more - had just walked in, clicked on tv and refreshed this page. Miss something but not sure what.

I am comming around to thinking non-terrorists too. A single shooter, no driver, out for demented kicks.

At first it was reported a driver and a shooter, that made me think organized terror cell. But now I am not so sure, looking more and more like a lone nutcase. Hope they catch him/her soon. It's got to be hell living in the D.C. area. I feel for yall up there.

Seems the school shooting got them into looking harder at the greenspace areas and the sniper being on foot for part of the scenario.

The problem is, all the previous sites would likely have been mowed already if they're GOING BACK to re-eaxamine them.

If the sniper is operating under the cover of the greenspace areas, he's apparently missing the landscape maintenance people.

You're right, it doesn't add up...

A handwritten note - that could prove interesting when police have a suspect. Very curious - I wonder why the shooter would leave a signature item like the tarot card and then ask police NOT to use it?
