Did you know Saddam Hussein has been in power since 1971!

This madman is not some little startup and America would be foolish to ignore the threat. There are also reports that Chinese were found with the captured Taliban in Afghanistan.

Our Enemies aren't Lieing Down..Why should we?

Go GET EM George!

The reason the so-called majors are not airing the speech is because they know that the American sheeple are more intersted in watching silly sitcoms, game shows, and propoganda. Plus, they can't stand it when a REPUBLICAN president is in charge.

Now if it were a DEMOCRAT president, they would be advertising it all day long.

Please find the links to the networks on this thread and contact them, plus your locals, blackie! Let's show them how we feel about their bias! If we are silent, it sends the message that we don't care.

I think it's disgusting that this is happening, for indeed the media's been all over Bush for "not making the case", and now that he is, they're ignoring him. I guess they're hoping that the people will just miss it, and then they can still beat the "hasn't made the case" drum over and over, to the uneducated masses.

With that said, I think there's more than the networks to blame here. Note the following:

- ABC: Not planning live coverage.

- NBC: Not planning live coverage.

- MSNBC: Planning live coverage.

- CBS: Not planning live coverage.

- FOX News: Undecided.

- FOX: Undecided.

and, perhaps the biggest shocker of all...

- CNN: Planning live coverage.

Just an interesting side note. Still doesn't excuse the "big 3" from excluding it. You know if this were Clinton, or even Al Gore, they'd be all over it like flies on you know what, series premiers not withstanding.

Since the speech is happening here, all four network affiliate stations are showing live coverage (including the Fox affiliate who will pre-empt the beginning of the NLDS game).

When Ari first announced the speach, he also said they would not ask for time from the networks. That was last week.

No backpedaling. I heard it.

Perhaps, but that still doesn't change the fact that the pocketbook drives peoples thinking.

Fox News just said they would of course, be carrying the speech live. MSNBC probably paid someone to make that unfortunate error. LOL!

>>No, the economy is what the democrats and the press tell you the American people are interested in and some people are foolish enough to believe them.<< ..and if you truly believe that you are more a fool. The pocketbook trumps everying in politics like it or not.

Perhaps, but that still doesn't change the fact that the pocketbook drives peoples thinking.

Maybe for some folks .. But I would like to ask them .. At what price would they trade in for the the lives of their children??

How much is it worth to the lives of Americans??

Is there a Price Tag they would post on them before they notice the threat we face by madman who have delcared to kill Americans??

Look I too lost a boat load of money in the market .. but I also know what is more important ..

And it ain't money

Thanks for that clarification -- I stand corrected.

When the announcement was first posted here on FR last week, many of us made a bigger deal about what it involved than we should have. As it turns out, OUR expectations were too high, and not because of something the Bush Administration said at the time.

ABCCBSNBC is less tidy that what these networks really are:

the DNC-NEWS!!!

The main reason that the DNCNewsNetworks don't want to broadcast Bush's speech live is that they want to be able to first put their own liberal spin on it before the American people actually get to hear it for themselves and make up their own minds.
