No. Tasker is about 1.5 miles outside the DC no-fly-zone. There's a local airport about .5 miles (as the crow files) to the west running at full operations.

I agree that finding and hitting a sniper is difficult. But it is not impossible, particularly if one is alert to the possibility.

In these relative built up areas (as opposed to out west here I live) ... the more people who are armed and are alert to the possibility, the better chance an armed person will see it go down. That will happen sooner or later if they keep doing this in built up, urban areas.

I disagree. I think that Osama's group is in such disarray that big attacks in the US are difficult to pull off. Little attacks and minor disruptions by individuals or small groups are being carried out on a constant basis. I think that is what we saw on the airlined on 9/11 and on the Florida freeway. These guys had no intention of really harming anyone, they just wanted to terrorize.

These attacks in Md are going a few steps further. It may not be Muslims, but it is sure some kind of terrorist.
