I agree. If we don't strike back, immediately, these terrorists will get the upper hand. I think that is the reason that the Middle-Eastern connection has been down played. We heard on Friday that they were looking for two Hispanic type men, who could have been Mid-Eastern, and after that, nothing, no description.

I think they do it when they think there is a serious danger that the child may be shot. This sniper is showing that, even then, he can shoot and get away with it.

Boy's in surgery, I thought Fox upgraded him to serious but I'll wait for the press conference by the doctors. It appears that Mom may have been a witness. Hopefully, she saw the shooter(s). She's probably in shock too though. I can't imagine the horror of what she went through this morning.

No real reason, but those guys rounded up in Oregon were into "target practice" that's how they had been training. You don't practice shooting if you're going to use a bomb or chemical weapon.

Pretty interesting coincidence.

When were they arrested? Before the shootings started or after? Perhaps they were supposed to do the same thing on the west coast. Perhaps their arrest prevented a simultanous series of events?

Two answers - first, if you're concerned about your child's safety, then yes, and secondly, if you have business at the school at the same time (talking to a teacher, et. al.), then also the answer is yes. I've done the latter with both my school age children plenty of times. This didn't seem unusual to me.

I am not yet convinced that this is terroism. I still lean towards a Son of Sam or Zodiac type killer

So do I. This has too many earmarks of a Zodiac Style killing. People were frightened to death when that killer was out and about. I also remember Son of Sam. People were afraid to be sitting in their cars when he was loose.

The Mom did the right thing IN THIS INSTANCE with the hospital being 1.5 miles away knowing the route and not probably having to move the child.

I don't think anyone would recommend doing that otherwise
