No real reason, but those guys rounded up in Oregon were into "target practice" that's how they had been training. You don't practice shooting if you're going to use a bomb or chemical weapon.

Pretty interesting coincidence.

When were they arrested? Before the shootings started or after? Perhaps they were supposed to do the same thing on the west coast. Perhaps their arrest prevented a simultanous series of events?

The Islamists in the Oregon cell were arrested on Friday morning -- the day after the five deaths in Montgomery County, and the one death in DC, on Thursday.
