Injury to spleen, pancreas, and lung.

Thanks for the hospital update. I'm praying the boy will make it.

It's quite possible someone heard what they "thought" was two shoots, but it's very unlikly they did. Echo's can be really bad, especially around buildings. It's my guess that the "second shot" was just an echo.

Boy is critical but stable per boys dr, Dr Martin Eichelberger..bullet entered abdomen thru chest, spleen, stomach, pancreas, lung, also diaphragm..significant part of bullet retrieved, ONE entrance wound, bullet shatters, goes in different directions..

Why not just say sniper. That's really all we know at this time, and it's easier to type.
To: Fred Mertz
Not breathing on his own, on a ventilator. Ditto the prayers for the young boy.

Let's all pray for this boy's recovery, sounds like he needs prayer badly.

I'd say sniper, except for the threads where some of us were theorizing whether or not it was terrorism (Islamic extremist terrorism). If it's AQ terrorism, it's likely other sleeper cells will feel emboldened to take similar action. If it's a local nutjob in the area, it's likely once LEO catch him/them, that will be the end of it.

One can just as easily find another disenchanted individual to serve as wheel man. We had ghastly a rape/murder case here a few years back. One of the guys was apparently a virgin, and both had speculated about what it would be like to kill people. They cruised around for several nights before carefully, if randomly, selecting their victim.
I could easily see two such guys doing the same sort of thing in this case.

That would be normal given that he is s/p thoracotomy, and probable abdominal
repair(s), ?splenectomy, ?choleductal repair.
To: Quilla
Wasn't conscious when brought in, keeping him "under" with drugs so he doesn't fight the ventilator.

they reported the last shooting was a robbery..Man was shot in the face..we cant take every shooting out there and think it is connected...there are shootings every week in DC..what I find most interesting is that of the 6 terrorists arrested in Portland, Oregon, 2 are still out there..either in this country or outside..the fact they were investigated because of the shooting of a "high powered weapon" in a gravel pit reported by a deputy ..and then the mayor and police chief in Oregon would not cooperate with the Feds..links were eventually established to terrorism...now the Mayor is saying all this major discovery was all law enforcements"working together"..Salute to the deputy in Portland that was not scared by what is cosidered un-PC to stereotype..the Mayor of Portland and the Chief should be fired. I wonder where these 2 terrorists are and do they still carry a high powered rifle.

"Not breathing on his own, on a ventilator. Ditto the prayers for the young boy.Sometimes in trauma, a ventilator is used for a short period of time just to make the rest of his care easier. Ventilator can cause much irritation after several hours, so they don't keep any patient on them longer than necessary.

THe report was that he was injured in his chest and abdomen. A hollow point or ballistic tip could cause damage to this large area with one hit.
To: abner
thanx for posting that visual.
I wonder if there's a code/pattern within it alone.
To: two23
Yes, that's right about the ventilator. They are keeping him quiet so he can heal and not struggle. Bless his heart.
