Why not just say sniper. That's really all we know at this time, and it's easier to type.

I'd say sniper, except for the threads where some of us were theorizing whether or not it was terrorism (Islamic extremist terrorism). If it's AQ terrorism, it's likely other sleeper cells will feel emboldened to take similar action. If it's a local nutjob in the area, it's likely once LEO catch him/them, that will be the end of it.
