Steve Emerson is one of the few experts I take seriously. His book is fascinating - he was way ahead of the curve. He's the one expert they should be interviewing today - not these BS profilers.

FOX: This is about the 10th New Conference in a row on this Sniper Situation, and STILL, Fox News doesnt have a Microphone set up so that WE can hear the Questions. Something is up. I think Fox is trying to limit WHAT questions the Media Has. Anyone have thoughts on this? On CNN u can hear the Questions. Something fishy is going on imho. WHY ISNT FOX BROADCASTING THE GENERAL MEDIA's QUESTIONS at these Press Conferences? Anyone??

From Indepundit.com (who lives in metro DC):ANOTHER SHOOTING in the 4400 block of Pond Street, Northeast DC. Victim was sitting in vehicle. No further information is currently available.
Forensic examination of bullet fragments in Bowie shooting still in progress.
FBI profilers remain in constant contact with local police, updating the profile as events warrant. Police will not reveal details -- "That is a tool for us to catch the bad guys. We are not gonna tell you anything about it."

DC POLICE are saying it is not related to the sniper killings. I can buy that. If the guy was shot in the face, it probably means a carjacking attempt with a handgun. Probably witnesses, too.

That's a great idea - interviewing Steven Emerson. He was, as you said, way ahead of the curve, and my hats off to him for not dropping the ball. One of the first guys the FBI called after 9/11, and he didn't play any silly little games and try to hold back info.

No, not flustration, but once again, as usual, limiting the news. Fair and Balanced Editing. just imho.

We're all flustrated.

When one of official said the boy was shot with a "22 caliber bullet". The press, in their ultimate wisdom, deducted this had to be much smaller then the previously referenced .223 bullets. First, there is NO SUCH THING as a .223 "bullet". The .223 Remington cartridge (also know as the 5.56 Nato) shoots a .224 diameter bullet. Many shooters abreviate, and refer to .224 bullets, and the various guns that shoot them as "22 caliber". The idea of the shooter(s) using a 22 long rifle was just a media inspired wild goose chase.

Sort of like his comment to the reporter the other day......
Chief Moose : "I will answer your question sir if I have the mental capacity ....."

Yes... we all have to remember that non sniper related shootings are going to happen in the DC Area, they are not going to stop becauce a sniper is on the loose. It is still too early to tell. It could be that the sniper (if it was him) was only able to hit the guy in the face since the victim was sitting in a car. Who knows... I guess we have to wait on reports.

Family: No media interviews. I don't blame them; they need to stay by this little boy's side. Little boy is critical, but stable. Anticipate over next 8 hours will see how he responds. Happy with how he is doing right now.

Sorry for the delayed reply - it's these darned customers calling all the time. :) I believe they have speculated the distance to be 200 yards.

Dr. Eichelberger: young man sustained significant gunshot wound to abdomen and chest; critical but stable; doctors satisfied with how he has gotten thru surgery

Docs took out a portion of the bullet because of the situation (re other shootings). There was not an exit wound. Bullet shattered in many directions in body.
