My suggestions: booby traps, machine guns, razor wire, rottweillers, 10,000 troops, and Marine Inspector in charge!

"If something is being done, they're not being told about it," Tuffly said. "That has a demoralizing effect on the agents." PRESIDENT BUSH, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND PROTECT AMERICA'S BORDERS!!!

To: Marine Inspector
Report in the morning, Sir!

More shots. My goodness, you'd think that Bush would get a clue.

My goodness, you'd think that Bush would get a clue. Bush couldnt get a clue if it was handed to him.

Only once did an agent return fire, agency spokesman Ryan Scudder said.Sooner or later, sooner or later....

Unfortunately, I think that he has a clue. The problem is that he is a Globalist, and he errs on the side of National Sovereignty. He's envisioning the big Pan-American Union.

You express my sentiments exactly, holyscroller.
Since when do Americans tolerate acts of war perpetrated by Mexican or any other nationals against American citzens?

Washington cannot be allowed to turn a blind eye to our borders. It will be a HUGE issue in 2004.
To: Joe Hadenuf
I'd say that there are 10 to 1 odds that he won't do it.
To: FreedomFriend
He's envisioning the big Pan-American Union. I'd like to tell you what I really think, but JimRob and his BushBots would turn me in.
To: MissAmericanPie
The Republicans refuse to discuss "our borders"!

Securing our borders and our sovereignty is not part of the Republican agenda. Not in their plan.......
To: Selmo
Sounds like they get some action down there. Makes me want to think about being a border patrolman. What is the GS promotion potential for that job?
Shouldn't be a pure law enforcement function anyway. They should be under DOD as a separate arm of the military, trained at military bases rather than the Federal law enforcement academy, and simply be given special law enforcement jurisdiction in the national border area.
Then, some of the border state national guard units should be converted from Army/Air National Guard units into Border Patrol National Guard units, and each company sized element, instead of meeting one weekend a month, would have duty rotated so that some folks from the company patrolled a certain stretch every day, getting relieved by someone else after their 24 hour or so shift.
This way the land would be guarded by locals with the greatest vested interest in protecting the area and also people who would be acclimatized and possess a native's understanding of the terrain.
To: Joe Hadenuf
You're right. It's not in the Democrats' plan, either.
What was it that GHWB spoke of eleven years ago?
