Does anyone here have any idea what the voters MIGHT be saying about this fiasco in their turff? Is there any opposition against the ruling? Are people there shaking their heads in disbelieve? I sure hope at least, by chance, there are still people in NJ who vote democRAT who still have a sense of fair play! I want to believe SO HARD in my heart that there are still people in NJ who are honest and have intregity!

If Forrester announces on Friday that he IS going to the US Supreme Court, but he is NOT asking for any emergency relief, remember you heard it here, FIRST. If Forrester beats Lautenberg in the election like a rented mule, and then the US Supreme Court does the same to the NJ SC AFTER the election, it is a win-win-win proposition for the Republicans.

I have reason to believe that may be the decision. After the fact, I will tell you why I think that. For right now, the source is confidential.

My PFC son just called...he just now saw it on tv....he asked what happened to the military vote, I told him that I don't know...he said, *Mom, how can anyone ever vote for a Democrat*...I really had no answer.

Today a young Master Sgt was killed in the Phillipines fighting for our freedoms....please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Remember Joe's slogan - "If you were running for office, he'd vote for you."

This time, he's the lesser of three evils.

That breaks my HEART! They should be FIRST IN LINE to vote, as far as I'm concerned.

I think that's too narrow thinking. The Senate is a national body and they should be allowed to show that the national body is being harmed because of unequal treatment in the selection.

It's not too narrow, it's the way it is. This isn't made up as we go along. NJ voters aren't voting for who controls the Senate. They are voting for their Senator. No other state has a claim on who they choose.

It's not that there are no federal issues here, but equal protection is not one of them. All NJ voters will be presented with the same choices.

Billybob reporting for duty as requested. See my post earlier in this thread. I expect something that no one else has even mentioned, that Forrester will go to the US Supreme Court but seek only a due course decision AFTER the election, but not any relief BEFORE the election.

.....As a remedy, they could reverse the election and order the holding of a new, proper one...

My thought as well. In this election there is not the time pressure as before. The pressure can come after it is learned who wins and where they win.

You have stated what should be in one form or another the strategy to follow.

In the near term, pile on the money and the heat inNew Jersy and remind all in Mossuri and Minnesota of the Sleeze in New Jersy

"But at some point, the American people need to decide that judges don't get to write laws to protect political candidates."

I agree with you, and I think that we should just concentrate now on winning back the Senate.

About judges and the election process, lower level judges in municipalities could be our worst enemies. On election day Nov 2000, there were judges in St. Louis, who just held their courtrooms open to rubber stamp voters who had been ineligible to vote. I heard this reported on KMOX-radio, I'm hoping that it was documented in Kit Bond's report on voter fraud.

Well, there are, actually. Several are family members of mine, and they are pretty disgusted by this spectacle. But...unfortunately, and politically speaking, New Jersey has become like the Teamsters' Union, and you know how many Teamsters it takes to change a light bulb, don't you?

Ten. You got a freakin' problem wit' dat?

Interesting. This very same court dealt with this very same satute a year ago and did not find anything vague about the statute whatsoever. They even went so far as to say that the court must enforce the law (this very same statute) in full and could not supplant their own opinion because it was the job of the legislature to set deadlines, etc.

Of course last year it was a Rebublican making the request, so that makes all of the difference in the worls.

All NJ voters will be presented with the same choices.

Then this has to be what they hang their hat on. Can you be sure of this? How long will it take to get new ballots designed, proofed, printed, proofed again, stuffed with all the samples and position statements, and mailed. What is the turnaround time for mail to Afghanistan these days?

The potential is so great for a mixup that you can't be sure that everyone who's eligible (not just those who choose to vote) gets the same ballot?

Torch is Mafia. Well known.

Remember the trash collector guy who accompanied him to confront the guy who is now in jail for bribing him? That wasn't a stinky guy small-time guy fresh off the trash truck. That was the enforcer. Bet you he won't ever really be identified, or pursued.

NJ Trash hauling is famously Mafia.

Wayne Huazinga (sp) came from Jersey in '59, I believe, with 3 trash trucks, to south florida. He was an enforcer, too. He intimidated, bullied, and the usual Mafia stuff (insert dead bodies here), until he had all of south florida. Then went into "respectfull" business (TCB Yougert, Blockbuster, etc., etc,). But in SF the Mafia still owns the trash business.

The judges in NJ are bought and paid for. The outcome was determined in advance. Torch was told to withdraw; the judges were told how to vote.

Bada bing, bada boom!

BTW, why do you really think Daschole had such a hissy fit about the Homeland Security union thing?

Union = Mafia.

He either delivers the goods, or he is finished.
