"In suburban Washington, D.C., a band of terrorists attack and kill a senator out for a round of golf." I don't think that this is a senator, but GW is who their after. Chilling!
Another reason to start packin'. We may not be able to stop the whole military type senerio, but we could put a dent in their operation before they take us out.

One thing that nobody ever mentions is that Americans know now what the enemy is capable of.
If you were in a violent terrorist situation would you :
a.) Sit quietly and hope for the best even though you will most likely die.
b.) Fight back knowing you will most likely die.

C) Kill all the terroists and wrap them in pork.

A must read. Bump!

If I were an Al Qaeda kingpin, I'd be putting a fair chunk of terror money into the Million Moms about now.

As long as the Federal government refuses to get serious about the problem of large numbers of young Middle Eastern men in our midst and continues to permit their entry into our country, the threat of possible sabotage will remain. Instead, airport security officers (some of whom are Muslim) check 80 year old white women with body cavity searches and regard the 2 inch replica gun carried by a G.I. Joe doll as a threat to airport security. The Mexican and Canadian borders remain like sieves. Our northern neighbor, Canada, does an even worse job than we do in screening out possible terrorists arriving from overseas.
Prior to World War II, there were thousands of pro-Nazi German-American Bundists, and other followers of various fascist groups like the Silver Shirts and the Christian Front, many of whom were not of German ethnic background. Yet the U.S. had virtually no internal sabotage from these sources after Pearl Harbor, to a large extent because their leaders were rounded up or kept under close surveillance.
Providing for the common defense was the second reason given in the Preamble to the Constitution for establishing the United States, even before the Preamble mentions the general welfare. Would that our leaders remember their duties to provide for that defense!

I do agree that Saddam is a bad dude, and he is trying to get his hands on a nuke. My problem is 1) So are a half a dozen other dictators/dictatorships? 2) with the Russian scientists unemployed, and their arsenals are in the hand of underpaid bureaucrats, the probability of smuggling of nuclear material/or bombs is very high. What to do about this mess that we got ourselves into is the bigger question? Idiots and PC reactionaries may think well, let us screen every body that is going into every airports. Then, how about the subway, and the malls? My example of this situation that we got ourselves in is : You pissed your neighbors for some reason. It does not matter who pissed whom or why. Now, you can either 1) attempt to coexist and show your neighbors that you dont hold the grudge; or 2) Kill or evict all your neighbors, or 3) Keep your neighbors their because it is politically incorrect to evict them, but stay up all night guarding your pets, children, cars, plants, food, and water
against any sabotage from these cowards who carry out their bad deeds at night! As you can see these three options are the only options we have got. The only feasible options are #1, and # 2!---The first if we can reconcile with the Moslems through negotiations? The second; if we can ship out all Moslems out of this country, so that our life would go back to normal. The idea of staying up all night to guard our stuff, or to make every freeking thing temper proof is costing us our way of life, and draining our economy! At this point, Saddam is not the only bad dude, as a matter of fact, he is not even the worst of the bunch! We must examine with honesty, how are we going to deal with these angry Islamic traitors who live among us? The choices are two: either make our Moslem citizens love us, or kick them out. WE know the first one is impossible, then we have only got one choice left, kick them out!

Unfotunately, the government will only move decisively after the next round of attacks - and even then, only if there is no other way to avoid the inevitable large scale round-up of potential terrorists. I believe the American people are ready today to do what's necessary.

Thanks, Utah Girl. Passed on to where it'll hopefully do some good.

Bump.
Mr. .357. Don't leave home without it. Learn how to use it. Get a concealed carry permit. Have it with you in your car and in your office.
Prepare yourself mentally to understand that what happens in the first 10 seconds will determine whether you, and your co-workers/family/friends live or die. Understand that if you do not act quickly and decisively, you and they will certainly die. Ask forgiveness of your Savior and remember the heros on flight 93.

We need to nuke Mecca. Forget Iraq, for now. I would invade Saudi Arabia, then Iran!
