My life has never been the same since I found www.freerepublic.com
I was a normal kind of guy. I ate food went out for walks and even watched videos, eek! I took the wife shopping. Even talked to the wife once in awhile.
Then that fateful night of Nov 7th 2000. I had to go somewhere else to to watch the election results as I do not have Cable TV. I went to the pizza joint on rt 7 and then to my secret election watch hide out.(No one to interupt)
I wanted to watch Bush beat the socks off of Gore. I new it was going to be a great night. Little did I know I would never sleep that night or for the next 5 weeks.
It took me till the end of November to find out I was not alone. That there was a freerepublic.com.
Before I would tell people the truth and they all wouldn't have a clue or they thought, this boy is NUTS! It was a lonely life thinking Am I The Only One that sees what is going on with this country and what the liberal bias media and the leftist democrats were doing to it, let alone the Clintons and Reno.
Well to make the story short. I was watching the news and these great people were on TV saying get out of Cheneys house. There it was the sign said Freerepublic.com. I copied it down and ran to my computer. I typed it in and sure enough The NEW WORLD WAS RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!
I think what would my life be if there was not a FR. If the rest of you were not here. That was enough to make me sit up and take notice. What can I do to make sure FR is here forever. Then I found out all I had to do was support the place and along with 70,000 other members make FR home. That we could change the world from here and with hundreds of thousands of people stopping by everyday we could tell the whole world the truth.
I would not trade all of you fine FReepers for any other world.
My life has never been the same since I found www.freerepublic.com (What about yours?)
Ok everyone has your life been the same since logging on to FR and what adventures have you had?

Rush and FreeRepublic.com probably saved my life over the years, and that's no joke, that's a fact.....
Without the truth broadcast by Rush and FR to meet with a hero and his friends, and to be a part of that, well....And then Came Fox news and Brit and everyone, and America was starting to be restored to her birthright.....And it made my wife's life a lot better, if you catch my drift...

Well, I got banned from the NY Times website because of my diatribes against Clinton but a guy had mentioned Freerepublic there and voila.
It was akin to stepping through the looking glass and finding the truth because at the time, the Clintons were on everybody's sh$t list, libertarians, conservatives, Paddies and the rest here on Robinsons Island.

Why did JediGirl get banned??? I think she was smoking a big bone of ganja while FReeping. She had pics to prove it too. I believe this was shortly after her wedding pics were posted and the honeymoon.
To: TLBSHOW
Seems we found FR at about the same time. I also logged on during the after election fiasco. I would not have made it through that nightmare if not for this place! Here we could all air our frustration, and learn the latest before it was on the local news!
I have met some terrific people here, and made new friends both in my area with the fabulous Fresno Freepers, and across the country. I have the opportunity to show my support for the troops every Friday night with JimRob and company.
To conclude, this place is the very best, and TLBSHOW, I always enjoy your posts, you are a breath of fresh air and always make me smile!

Ahhhhhh....
The good ol' days!
LOL!
To: Howlin
Howlin! One of my Freeper heroines! I remember when I was a newbie how much I laughed at your antics. I still do in fact. I always know when I see your name attached to something, I am in for a VBG! (as we stroll down memory lane!)
To: jlogajan
It really bugs me when someone is banned instead of putting their time to doing good like bashing demorats and commies and weepers, some like jedi start bashing FR for no reason except to whine about being banned. I always say a freep of the rats a day keeps you young! How to get started in the morning read some liberal BS and that will get your day off right and in the mood of kicking out the liberal rats and FReeping em but GOOD!

What a great screenname! I don't believe I have met you before!

That was some election. I have a bad feeling the rats are planning to repeat much of it again this year. You know try and steal em all across the country. That is why this site is so important as a place to gather and fight the rats and point out the truth to America.

Ya'll wanna hear a funny on me?
I went to the March for Justice rally in D.C.
My roommate got so drunk that I had to haul her into the cab for the ride to our hotel.
Well, the cabbie has this STRANGE GUY sitting in the front seat and I was extremely nervous about getting in with my drunken friend. WHO was this stranger, anyway??? WHY was he in OUR cab anyway?? WHAT were his motives?
Well, he kindly introduced himself as the cab pulled from the curb. (He also explained sharing cabs was common in D.C.).... His name? Kristinn!! LOL!

I think more than a few of us came on board in that post election fiasco.
Dave in Eugene of all places signed up 2000-11-25 (and has been similarly addicted, as the FR homepage clearly warns).
Been curious, what is the meaning of your screen name?
I think mine is easy to figger out.
To: Sweet_Sunflower29
Anyone who has a screen name related to Sci-Fi is unstable, IMHO.

I found FR back in 1997 just before the Billyboy/Lewinsky story was breaking. I read the Drudge release the night it happened, and told my wife about it in bed. She thought I was crazy, then was amazed that I had the news before the newspaper came.
I joined in early 1998, and have been lurking and occasionally responding ever since. I tune in to FR as my first news source (then Neal Boortz), and rarely watch the network newscasts any more. I don't watch any CNN news but doi watch a bit of FNC. I also frequent Opinion Journal, Newsmax, WND, TownHall, etc. I subscribe to the MRC email so I can see how the network readers have twisted the news to an anti-Pubbie slant.

I've been thinking about those "old" days this last week, with all the live threads. It's FR at its best, don't you think? We've had LOTS of laughs mixed in with the fury!

I don't believe I have met you before! I tend to post sporadically in spurts and in sort of a quick, drive-by fashion. It's a long screen name, and I never realized how challenging long screen names can be when posting while drinking wine.
To: TLBSHOW
Don't start with me. I was there.......LOL.

Sometimes I like FR -- sometimes it p*sses me off, like the fact that JediGirl got banned. That's lame. Yeah I miss her and Darth Sidious both.
I agree with the other FReepers about 90% of the time. There should be room for dissent on the other 10%.
