President Bush met with President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia today, and discussed the war on terrorism, as well as Columbia's continued efforts in fighting the illegal drug trade. Bush also met with the Boys and Girls Clubs National Youth of the Year finalists in the White House. This evening, the President attended the National Republican Senatorial Committee dinner at the National Building Museum. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Mexico City attending the 11th Conference of Spouses of Heads of State and Government. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Or Dysfunctional Daschle? LOL!
Have you heard whether or not they have any leads on who did this terrible thing? There wasn't very much real news in any of the stories I saw on t.v. and it was kinda crowded out by other news. I've often wondered if any progress had been made in this case.
A nephew of ours recently moved to Destrehan ..... the best I can figure out, they're going to get it about as bad as anyone. We're not that worried about the wind .... but his mother was flooded out in Floyd [eastern NC] ...... that's enough of that sort of thing for one family!
Remember at the first of this Congressional session what Bush told Daschle????
Don't lie to me!
But, I don't imagine that whiney little rump of democratic tainted meat much cares what President Bush said then, or now, and today he proved it. And lost. Big time.
As much as billy klinton, his hellacious wife, tommy-poo daschle and assorted other lowlife creeps want to bring our President down to their level....and taunt him, mock him, lie about him, etc etc etc in their vile attempt to do so, it is NOT going to happen.
Our President remains a man of his word, is honest, trusting of the American people to deal with the truth, is not poll driven, knows that real leadership often involves making unpopular decisions, and is intent on changing the tone of the gutter level politics so rampant in the klintonian era of depravity and greed. This is simply killing the democrats in DC.
Our wonderfully unflappable and convicted President grows taller and MORE powerful with every additional whine that comes spewing out of the likes of Daschle and his pitiful klintonian groupies.
Yes, it must or we'll be seing more silly shenigans on the senate floor like today. I understand the President also raised about $1.5M at another luncheon in NJ for Torricilli's (sp) opponent last week too.
HE LOVES US!!!
I want you to know, I attended a RNC meeting in San Diego, tonight. The meeting paid particular attention to those Hispanics running in the various districts in our State, and for Insurance Commissioner (Gary Mendoza -- who was there and spoke, too). Our Pres had a taped message IN SPANISH and what color tie do you suppose he had on???? HIS ORANGE TIE! It IS a symbol of gratitude and support and a cause bigger than you can imagine.
RNC Leader and Gov of Montana, Mark Racicot spoke. One of the main reasons I went to this meeting, tonight, was to see him.
Do you remember the contribution he made to the Impeachment of grrrrhhhh...I can't even say his name? Do you remember the calm and resolve he gave us all during the 2000 elections? I tell you, this man is marvelous! And, do you know what he spent most of his speech time talking about? I'm paraphrasing, but it was mostly about touching the lives of a fellow human being, believing in the goodness of people, and neighbors talking to neighbors to inspire each other. He spoke of President Bush as being the one that drove that feeling home to all those around him, and that this is what the Republican party is all about. That feeling of patriotism that exists inside us all, that is so strong, and everyone's actions big or small, matter. And then....he said something that is the "orange tie" to my husband and me...
When we met George Bush in Oct. of 2000 in West Chester, PA, my husband handed George a letter, and in that letter, he mentioned "doing the right thing, for the right reasons." Mark Racicot said it tonight, too. We have been saying it, when we've spoken to Bill Simon, and others in the party, so that it gets said and its power, understood. It rolled off of Mark Racicot's tongue. He spoke, and there was such an aire of goodness all around him. His voice is so calming and his words are elequant and so thoughtful. His mannerisms so confident and caring. I tell yah, you would say "this man is going places" but I believe he's already there.
Who you surround yourself wtih, says a lot about a person. If Mark Racicot is any indication (and we all know he is, because of the many high quality, wonderful people our Pres surrounds himself with) George Bush is the best of the best.
There was a raffle, at the end of the meeting. You got to win a picture of George. I wanted that picture so badly. I'm glad others won, but I would have been honored to have won one.
Everyday, I am reminded about what a wonderful human being we have as our President. Thank you, dear George, for taking on the job. We are so blessed to have you as our President!
