Coverup.
Doesn't Byrd think coverup is another word for "white hood?"

Making insinuations about the president's motives and claiming that he is trying to distract attention from 'domestic problems' is the "height of patriotism," claims Democrats.
What a bunch of opportunistic scum.

...Byrd said his belief in the Constitution will prevent him from voting for Bushs war resolution. But I am finding that the Constitution is irrelevant to people of this administration.Byrd is an a$$. the democrat party has nothing but contempt for the constitution. Byrd is a complete 3ucking a$$!

Is Senator Byrd off the reservation or is this a Democratic talking point? I assume that they wouldn't be dumb enough to play this one but I could be wrong.

So Byrd is worried about the stock market. So does that mean he's going to vote for a capital gains tax cut?
No, didn't think so.
Byrd is a senile old coot. He's an embarrassment to himself, but let's hope he keeps coming on out and talking. The more he talks, the fewer seats the Rats will have in the Senate this coming January.

How many civilians would die in Iraq? Ooooo Ooooo I know! Raises Hand.
Only 1 or 2... maybe Jerry Rivers.

This administration, all of a sudden, wants to go to war with Iraq, Byrd said. The [political] polls are dropping, the domestic situation has problems.... So all of a sudden we have this war talk, war fervor, the bugles of war, drums of war, clouds of war.

Should the United States act alone? Good point Senator Byrd, The administration has not done enough to enlist the support of "white trash". *nudge* *wink* You know what I mean Senator Byrd, don't you.

Isn't this the same Senator Byrd who, on national television, admitted that Clinton was guilty in impeachment, but that he would not vote to remove Clinton from office? Sounds like Mr 'I pull out my little copy of the Constitution whenever I get a traffic ticket' Byrd wouldn't vote properly even if the proof was Saddam admitting on CNN that he was responsible for the bomb that just leveled New York.

Byrd said Congress needs solid evidence and answers to several specific questions, including: * Does Saddam Hussein pose an imminent threat to the U.S.? Ummmm Senator .. when Saddam passes his little bag of goodie to the Capital .. Will that be enough solid evidence??

"I even clean the comodes around my house." -- Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV), floor of the U.S. Senate, July 2001.

The RATS are experts at coverups. They always accuse the other side of the things they do. The entire objective of these stupid comments is to make people vote for RATS. They are going crazy because Iraq is the lead story and not their version of the truth about the economy, big business, etc.

"Byrd told the Senate on Friday. " Odd, I couldn't find any of these remarks in the Congressional Record.

Byrd said Congress needs solid evidence and answers to several specific questions, including: * Does Saddam Hussein pose an imminent threat to the U.S.? * Should the United States act alone? * What would be the repercussions in the Middle East and around the globe? * How many civilians would die in Iraq? * How many American forces would be involved? * How do we afford this war? * Will the U.S. respond with nuclear weapons if Saddam Hussein uses chemical or biological weapons against U.S. soldiers? * Does the U.S. have enough military and intelligence resources to fight wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, while mobilizing resources to prevent attacks on our own shores? Although I have seen a great number of attacks on Byrd in this thread I have not seen any attempts to answer the questions he asked or to provide links to where the answers may be found. Regardless of who asks the questions they should be answered before we go to war.
Attacking Byrd and his Klan links is just a waste of time and energy.
