Nice article. Socialism is a disease and liberalism is a mental disorder. The leftists who inhabit damn near every American university campus really are nuts; they have never offered a single solution to the problems they perceive as the cause of human misery because it is they who are the perpetuators of misery, class warfare, racism, poverty, ignorance, and despair.

And they do it, not to end these human calamities, but for their own, personal aggrandizement. If they were ultimately successful, they would find themselves the first up against the wall, put there by the very minions of hate which they helped to gain power. They are the true enemies of freedom, the useful idiots who brought massive misery to the 20th century in the form of the Soviet Union, Adolph Hitler, the PRC, and others too numerous to name.

I no longer have any tolerance for them or their half-baked ideas whatsoever.

One dynamic never mentioned regarding "pacifists" is their extreme competitiveness: a manifestation of this is a claim of "moral superiority." People who are competitive but who cannot do so on merit or money often will then compete for moral superiority.

In respect to the socialistic tendencies of academe, Ludwig Von Mises explained this very well in the Anti-Capitalistic Mentality. In capitalism the consumer is king. What the consumer wants designates who is successful and what they are paid. This is very discouraging for those who feel they have not been propererly appreciated or paid; hence, they hate capitalism and choose socialism because in this philosophy academics and clerks are rewareded more than entrepreneurs and capitalists.

My objection lies with this sentence:

"So peaceful Germany today regrets the Holocaust much more than savage Germany sixty years ago. "

I would not have questioned this just a year or two ago, but today I believe that that a very large number of Germans today consider the Holocaust to be little more than unfinished business. And much of the rest of Europe agrees.
