September 17, 2002 -- NEW Jersey voters already concerned about Sen. Robert Torricelli's low ethical threshold now learn that he's been a paid shill for a group the government identifies as a terrorist organization. Called on this by his Republican opponent, Douglas Forrester, in a debate Thursday, Torricelli said the group had been pulled from the State Department's global terror list and given a clean bill of health. Not true.

However, the hard core 30% of the population that is pro Rat would vote for Sammy Been Laden for senator if he ran as a rat against a conservative.

Hopefully this will wake up the moderates back there and the conservatives wanting a candidate who sprints on the top of the water without dampening his Nikes!

This came out during the second debate last week - commentators made little of this at the time - it's amazing it took this long to come to light. Politico2 posted several excellent references on this last week - we had some back & forth on the Jersey site also.
Maybe finally this issue will get some real traction- Doug's been out in front with this but, if the press doesn't pick it up & run with it, it goes nowhere....maybe now it will have somewhere to go.
Call in the radio shows......send emails....write letters to the editor......LETS ROLL!!!!!

Thanks for the scoop on the debate prof. Living out here on the left coast (as well as a 2 and 4 year old) makes catching all the action tough--even with the 'net. And yes, the presstitutes will not hammer Torch on this as they should. This would be a good Stern/Imus point as they can circumvent the lamestream pressholes and reach many NJ voters. Thank the Heavens for talk radio and thank Al Gore for the 'net. I think that the Torch will be toast come November and this terrorist lobbying issue will help...

I only wish it were so. Unfortunately, the man on the street --- who cares nil for politics, but who will click on anything with the word Democrat on it ---has the vote.

I just hope that the Independents, who are pretty well evenly divided, will look into this.

How right you are! The day after the debate last week ( when Doug made this accusation) Torricelli accused Doug of being a racist! Torch ( surprisingly ) got no traction on this...and Doug just turned the volume up even louder.

How about replacing the nickname "The Torch" with "Baghdad Bob" ( the MEK is actually headquartered in Baghdad even though they are supposedly an Iranian group ).

And according to Iran Brief, an independent watchdog publication, Torricelli took in more than $100,000 from Mujahedin sympathizers before 1996 - and another $34,000 as his '96 race revved up.

This SOB needs to get gone in the worst way. Hopefully Forrester will keep hammering away at this, while playing commercials of the Torch pounding on the podium while he says NEVER!!

Too many of us jump on Republican Candidates and call them dumb, lazy or cowards.

The reality is in most races, the Republican Candidates are doing what is right, the mainstream left wing mediots are not putting the reality out as news.

I hope that Doug Forrester continues to pound this, and all conservatives in NJ help him to spread the word.
