Please Pray for These Kids ( Assaulted in their homes; Throats slit )

Please pray for these kids that were assaulted in their home here last night. The victims were my son's 16 yo girlfriend and her younger sister and brother.

The youngest boy, Jimmy, is 12 and may not live and one of the girls, Cathy, may never speak again. Connie, my son's girlfriend, is 16 and is stable.

The attack was vicious and the perp has not been caught. The news link gives scant information other than to confirm the attack. I am assuming that they will update the story as new information is received.

Why was this man staying at the house? Where were the parents? Why are these things happening?

Tell your son to tell his girlfriend my prayers are with them. His girlfriend is really going to need him now - what an awful thing to happen to children their ages.

Positively hideous! Throats slit while sleeping. When one wakes up and resists the monster flees. What on earth would motivate anyone to do this?

Don't know about you, but if I could when that killer was caught I'd personally slice his throat when he slept to see how he liked it. It just gets worse and worse. Those kids if they survive, will be psychologically scarred for life.

No new news on the condition of the children Cathy and Jimmy, but news is that Connie ( the one who fought the attacker ) may get to come home shortly.

I am concerned that there are some elements to this story that don't seem right. I don't know if I should post the more intimate details and rumors and inuendos publicly till they are confirmed.

Apparently, a few weeks ago, the father poured gasoline on the house and threatened to burn it down but did not follow through with the threat. This is just one of the rumors or stories coming forth today. There are many speculations among us now as to whether or not he was involved in this in some manner. Also, there are conflicting stories on just who purchased the knife a few days ago at the local WalMart.

My son is at the hospital now and should be home a bit later.

My son just returned home and his report is that there is slight improvement in the two children that were the most severely injured. He is reporting that the two can whisper however, I do not know the "official" prognosis relating to their recovery. I am not familar with the "extent" of the damage and do not know whether this is common in person's wearing a tracheostomy tube.

It is possible that Connie will be released as early as tomorrow.

Please note*** My response in post number 56 is simply speculation, rumor, etc and should not be taken as fact. I thought about what I has written after typing it and decided that maybe I should have kept what I had heard "to myself". I do not wish to paint anyone who may be innocent as an accesory or guilty party. I will stand by my comment that "something is not quite right" with this whole situation though.

My prayer is that the perp be caught by an armed home-owner who blows the bastard away! My sympathys go to the family.

However, does anyone have any doubt that this peice of dung who did this has had other dealings with the law? This is not a first time type offence. The guy who broke into our house while I was at work and tried to rape my wife had a history of home break-ins.

Now my wife understands why I kept telling her over and over that if she goes to investigate a strange noise (or even the doorbell if she isn't expecting anyone), to take the 45!

I advocate "criminaliside"; kill all the criminals and we won't have any crime!
