It seems like an attack on Iraq is coming soon.
Place your bet as to when the attack will begin.
Whoever gets closest to the date and time wins.
Attack time must be specified in Month, Day, Year, Hour, and Minute
For the hour, don't forget to specify what time zone you are referring to.
There is no decision on a prize to be awarded yet except for bragging rights.

Right on with the idea, but the month is wrong. Ramadan is still on, and the weather isn't cool enough yet (MOPP4 gear is a **real** b!tch is the heat, but great in cool/cold temps like desert winter nights). Besides, the Prez would rather be past Christmas, wouldn't you think?

Based on how GW operates, it should be very clear. GW will be on the air stating that the war has started. He was also very clear that it was to start at a specific time, like he did in Afghanstan. It IMHO be when GW said that it was to "start"
That man knows how to run a country and a military operation. I bet that the operation commanders love to work under his direction over the bent one's operatives.

without reading anyone elsees guess, I pick nov 30th. It's right before the full moon and that will give the maximum number of 'dark' nights in Iraq.

I say it'll be April 4th 2003 about 9:30 A.M. P.S.T., because I believe the Maddass ( That's what Frank Sinatra called him in 1992, "It's Saddam Backwards,that's what he is, a Madd-Ass") will let the U.N. wander in the country for a while and besides that base in New Military Base in Qatar isn't completely finished yet. Or Is It ?

Check out this site
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/ for the Infidel Satan Navy's opinion about when Ramadam ends. Click FAQ and then "Crescent Moon Visibility and the Islamic Calendar". Briefly, the cresent moon is visible about a day after the new moon. It needs to be visually sighted, unaided by a telescope. Weather counts and you need at least 24 hours for the crescent to get far enough away from the sun.
The new moon ending Ramadam occurs on December, 4 at 7:34 UT.(ZULU) (Again from the Infidel Satan Navy's website.) Like the Hebrew Calendar, the day begins at sunset, so sunset of the day on which the first waxing crescent is sighted is the beginning of the first day after Ramadam.
Therefore, Ramadam ends with sunset, 16:55 December 6, Baghdad time. Moonset is 17:55 local time. Some time in the night of 6-7 December 2002. I think we want to avoid December 7 for symbolic reasons, but may be not. Put me down for: TA DAH
December 6, 23:00 HR Baghdad time, 20:00 UT, 15:00 EST.

Don't doubt your calendrics for a moment, my information about Ramadan was evidently in error. Apologies.
The comments about cooler operational weather and Christmas still stand, though. The post-Christmas new moon, (Jan 2 is it?), is the time.
Dec 4 doesn't allow any time for inspection violations to occur and for the subsequent 2-3 weeks of scr*wing around with that useless debating society in New York.
