Prayers for my Dad

My father was just diagnosed with colon cancer and I would like to ask for prayers for his surgery this Friday (8/30/02) and for his recovery from this terrible disease. He is a gentleman, a Christian and a family man who taught me most of the important things I rely on to this day. I can only hope be a good of a man and father as he has been. Thank you all.

May God bless your dad. If it is any comfort, I had two family members with this disease, and a close friend as well. All three are cancer free and doing well years later. On a lighter note, I think you may have the best screen name on Free Republic.
