My father was just diagnosed with colon cancer and I would like to ask for prayers for his surgery this Friday (8/30/02) and for his recovery from this terrible disease. He is a gentleman, a Christian and a family man who taught me most of the important things I rely on to this day. I can only hope be a good of a man and father as he has been. Thank you all.

I will pray for your father and you. Many people can beat colon cancer nowdays. My mother was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer the end of May, and died the end of July.

The most important thing, for you and your father, is to be there for him. You will never regret every kindness you do for him. Prayers got me through it. potlatch

A neighbor had colon cancer surgery about a year ago. They removed a lot of his colon. He's doing very well. Not that it was a piece of cake. Also, I had 18" of my colon removed about two years ago. Not cancer but it wasn't much fun, either. Hopefully, it'll make you feel better knowing that others have survived this surgery. Here's my prayer: May the Good Lord bless, heal and comfort your dear Dad. In Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

I'm sorry I left off his name, it's Bob Orgain. I guess I haven't been thinking too clearly since I just learned of this diagnosis.

Hi Russ. I will pray for your Dad and your family. I have had a family member recover completely from colon cancer. A word of encouragement: Cancer is awful, but the medical advances in the area of cancer are remarkable. If only modern medicine could PREVENT cancer. God Bless you Russ.
