How do we protect Republican Voters in this mid-term election

Okay Freepers I am sure most of you saw the report from Rove saying that this year's mid-term election will come right down to the wire. My question to all of you is just how the hell are we going to protect our votes/candidates from massive Democrat Voter Fuard? I saw we use video tape, poll watchers and people on ground who know each area from homeless shelters to vacant lots so when Democrats bring in paid people to vote using bogus address that information can be put together and forwarded to DOJ!!! We should also push for retired Freepers to become polling judges and election officials. Those Freepers who have family members in the military go down to city or county hall and get packs of overseas ballots and mail them off to the unit! Those in the South have to be extra watchful because you have snowbirds who vote twice once via asbestee and in the state's elections.

I suggest having large numbers of ordinary citizens surround poll locations, beyond legal limits, while wearing military/militia type uniforms, perhaps with armbands of one sort or another. Signs reminding potential voters that voting by non-citizens is illegal won't hurt either.

Scareing illegal voters is not a crime.

I am sad to say I agree with all you said- I too feel that a disgraceful and shameless immigration policy will impact Republicans chances in every race. We may be near the point of no return. Most of America would care if they knew the truth but as it takes work to be informed, most don't care to be knowledgeable. They much prefer to watch Oprah and sitcoms...while our freedom and nationalism are being robbed by ignorance.

Anyone guilty of being involved with fraudulent voting will be given an automatic $10,000 fine and spend 60 days in prison. Make repeated announcements that each & every ballott will be checked for accuracy. Also have announcements that say anyone who attempts to vote in the election, who is not a legal citizen of this country, will be immediately deported. Lets see how many people will be willing to go along with a 'RAT scheme under these conditions. I also have a response for when the 'RATS start screaming mean-spirited, racism exc.. about these conditions. But I won't say what it is here. I'm going to send a letter to my representative (he's a Republican) tommorow and share my idea with him. It's up to them to make laws so voter fraud doesn't happen.

Something I've wondered about...how exactly do you prevent showbirds, or military personnel, or anyone else who has multiple residence, from voting more than once? Other than using the honor system, or some kind of national database, I don't see any way it can be done?

I'm always amazed at the methods of voting in different places!! When I go to vote, I hand them my voters registration card, they look for my name and address in their book 'for that precinct', and I sign my name beside my name in the book.

Unless I voted in the primaries, my card does not indicate party affiliation. I then walk into a booth with a curtain, which closes when I pull the lever. I push the 'tabs' down on each of my choices, pull the lever to open the curtain - at which time my vote is recorded.

There is no way I can vote again, and no way to tell from my vote if I'm white, purple, female, italian, or republican!!!

You don't . It's pretty much almost too late .The election is up for grabs. Why ? Because 'r'epublicans refuse to play a basic rule in campaigning that the Democrats are good at - Attack early , and attack often .

The only way Republicans can win is play cathup . They are scratching at the eight ball if they don't come to their senses , use time wisely , and stop playing outside the ring ; they have got to get in the ring and start punching now ( Bill Simon in Calif. for Governor especially must attack on Davis wanting driver's licenses for illegal aliens ),or our failur-ites fail again.

Remember that song in the late 80's that got alot of play on MTV in which the lyrics went like this - ' You're always scratching at the eight ball , and you don't know the reason why ? ' I would like to dedicate that song as the official campaign song for the Republican Party in 2002'.

You're right.
Limp wristed Republicans are this Nations greatest danger. It is time to use our primaries to weed these evil doers out of the system.

Wimpy Republicans, use the efforts of strong conservative activists to betray conservative values.

In Austin, Texas there was a long established practice of throwing out ballots that didn't have votes for every candidate, and issue. Some races wouldn't have anyone running for the office, but a Democrat. Many of the Republican Party faithful refused to vote in those races and left that part of the ballot blank. So, the whole ballot would be thrown out.

Then the people elected a Republican Sheriff for the County, and he posted Deputies at all of the voting locations. The Democrats screamed bloody murder! It was fun to watch!!

The Sheriff went on to be elected to the State Senate.

You can't stop massive vote fraud. Legalized, same-day voter registration and "motor voter" laws just about guarantee massive vote fraud. It is only a matter of (a short) time before Democrats have a permanent majority created by illegal immigration. Republican leaders are the biggest fools on the planet for not stopping illegal immigration.

This is another BIG reason why the Republican Party is referred to as "The Stupid Party".

I like the sound of the group that this links to. Good luck with it.

And don't listen to the doomsayers. Nothing is every accomplished by those who sit on their butts and whine that it's hopeless.

Maybe we should start a "Midterms" bump list for folks who are interested in that sort of thing.

"If you are sufficiently motivated to change this, go out and talk to thousands of your fellow citizens as I did and see if you can get them to pressure the politicans to change what is going on. I honestly wish you well in the effort."

It does take effort, but FreeRepublic and you can create a controlling legal authority.

Looked at the link you quoted. I'd be interested in hearing from you a) why you'd favor repealing Amendment XVII, and b) how likely you think any Senator would go for it.

I tell you that recently, Illinois was well served by their Republican Senator, and that he'd never have been elected by the State legislature. What happened was the following:

The State of Illinois' General Assembly is basically run by the four legislative leaders (majority and minority leaders in each house). There's a pretty efficient machine set up in Springfield, with an understanding with the political structures in Chicago on who's in charge of what. Daley gets what he needs, and keeps his fingers out of the Springfield pie past that.

Peter Fitzgerald, a rich man, opposed the GOP-picked candidate in a self-financed candidacy. He won the primary, and won the election. He won't play ball. Springfield hates him. Recently, Fitzgerald, in his capacity of senior Senator of the White House's party, selected 3 new U.S. Attorneys for the 3 disticts of Illinois. All 3 are experiences in rooting out crime and political corruption. All 3 were confirmed, over the objections of Springfield, who wanted to put the usual local go-along/get-along boys in office. Now the one in Northern Illinois, who's from New York and had done a great job putting Mafiosi in jail there, is doing a great job of ripping open the corruption in the Illinois GOP. The job was started by his predecessor, who deserves due praise, but the new guy is ripping the cover off and stomping the cockroaches as they run. Currently, the betting is that the GOP will lose every statewide office they hold in Illinois in the next election.

While this will hurt the Illinois GOP in the short run, in the long run, when attention is inevitably turned to the Illinois Democrats, the pendulum will swing back, and this time the GOP will have people with relatively clean hands to step in.

Not that I have any brief for either party. But this man has done a great service for Illinois, and it's one that would not have been done if he'd had to have been elected by the boyos in Springfield.

I made sure that I was off the roles of the counties I used to live in; just doing my part to combat to prevent vote-fraud. (P.S. they were Democrat majority counties)

How about having Republicans run right? It worked the only two times they tried it (80, 94). Or they could stay the course and continue their "blur the lines of distinction" in hopes the average voter is too stupid to figure it out, while taking their base for granted.

As for this life-long GOP voter, I will not be voting GOP this year. When they want to be conservative, end immigration, end the income tax, end welfare, and roll back the police state, I'll be back. Until then, I'll laugh at all the Pubbies who hang their pathetic hopes on a perpetual war and bailing out the stock market.

Nope. Republican voters are the biggest fools for allowing our leaders to languish in office while betraying our interests. When will we hold our leaders accountable for immigration, taxes, police state, etc?
