DFU REPORT: My Morning Adventure with the Lunatics of Los Angeles - They Are Stupid and They Smell
on site at the Bush/Simon breakfast | 8-24-02 | dfu

Posted on 08/24/2002 12:46:40 PM PDT by doug from upland

I arrived at about 7:20 to see a sea of fools. There were probably about two or three hundred there at the corner of Wilshire and Westwood. Unfortunately, although some FReepers were there, we never made contact. I visited all three corners where people gathered but missed them.

I wore a pair of khaki slacks, a black shirt and my USS RONALD REAGAN aircraft carrier ballcap. On the back of my black windbreaker was a red, white, and blue oval that said: 9-11 ... our disaster ... compliments of the Sinkmaster. Only one person in the whole crowd asked me about it and was not amused.

Noticeably absent from the gathering of the clueless were American flags. Anna Z said a small group of FReepers had 2 flags but for some reason I didn't see them. I was busy talking to the enemy.

Yes, indeed, the people with whom I spoke are stupid. Not surprisingly, some in the crowd, smelled. Gee, what were the odds of that in a demonstration of leftist lunatics.

When we put on a demonstration, we are creative. The enemy's signs had very little thought and the chants sucked. They had nothing like: Algore we are getting mad...you can kiss my dimpled chad. They had no songs. You need songs.

Every anti-war loser group and social misfit imaginable was there -- the creepy commies, the stupid socialists, the whining welfare leeches, fem-fatale (not) feminists, the save the forest fools, the free Mumia morons, a few ignorant Indian (not native American) dancers, a toad with a tambourine, a shemale with a stinking accordian, ACLU ambulance chasers with neon lime hats, anti-police people, tatooed and pierced punks, free Palestine (no such country) pukes, get us out of the Phillipines pawns, stop bombing Vieques (sp?) vultures, and any number of other gypies, tramps, and thieves (credit to nitwit Cher).

Some of the signs: We are still angry, we won't go away, Gore won
Money for jobs, education, health care -- not war
Save a forest, stop a Bush
The war is for oil, not freedom
Resist the racist war
End sanctions, no more innocent victims
Simon and Enron - unsafe and unethical
George W. Hitler (picture with little mustache)
Bush bombs kill kids
George W. Bush - world's No. 1 terrorist
No new war in Iraq
End the occupation from the West Bank to Watts
We want justice for Donovan Jackson Chavis
No police brutality - end war against black youth (held by middle aged bald white guy with side and back hair almost down to his waist)
Iraq is not the enemy, you are
Peace through anarchy
Start seeing Iraqi children (with picture)
California wants clean air, not dirty war
If you think peace is the only option - there will be peace
Jail the real criminals, the LAPD
Simon fraud
The real axis of evil - Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft
Money for reparations, not war
Bush wants war, we want jobs
Bush with a swastica for the "s"
Osama is a Bush

Pretty unimaginative, huh?

Chants: Stop, stop, stop the Bush attack
No more attacks on women's rights

Stop the fascists now
Money for jobs, not war
War makes it worse

Two guys were in prison outfits chanting Jail to the Thief. Gee, isn't that a ripoff on something we've seen before?

As you can see, although they were loud and obnoxious, these people were pathetic. Dumbing down our population is a RAT plan that seems to be working quite well. The RAT party depends on stupid people. It was a bonanza of stupidity on 3/4 of the corners at Wilshire and Westwood.

I engaged several in conversation. One woman, who appeared to be about 65-70, would not have sent U.S. troops to Europe to fight the Nazis. There must be, according to her, another way. She would also not have fought the Japanese because Pearl Harbor was our fault.

An admitted communist believes that the battle of Stalingrad was between the Soviets and the fascists. I had to explain that the fascists were actually the brainchild of Mussolini. Hey, honey, ever hear of Nazis?

A young guy with a sign about no war over oil was asked by me if he drove a car. At least he was honest enough to right away admit to me, "Yeah, I'm a hypocrite."

I spoke with two tree people who want us to just let the forests alone. If lightning stikes, it should just burn, because that is nature. If man set it, we should try to stop it. We should not remove dead trees or diseased trees because that is nature. When I asked her if, because cancer is part of nature, she would do something to stop cancer in her body, she had no good answer other than, "Oh, that's different. We're people." For some reason, these two naive fools had on handkerchief masks like they were bad guys in a Lone Ranger episode. When we talked about air quality, transportation, and energy, they were somewhat at a disadvantage arguing with someone who has written about and driven all types of alternative fuel vehicles.

The guy with the peace through anarchy sign really was clueless. He couldn't understand why government and police were necessary. When I told him that without the police, the criminals would kill the innocent. He said, "Well, I'm not killing you." I expressed my appreciation for that.

There was one normal person in the crowd named Larry. He was a retired CPA holding a Bush-Cheney sign. The rude RATS chanted right in his face as loudly as possible.

When I confronted people about the possibility of Hussein obtaining nuclear weapons and a delivery system within 18-24 months, there was one person was not worried about Hussein and another who thought it was propaganda. Even the report from the Iraqi scientist defector was propaganda. Two people with whom I spoke are as worried about us having nukes as if Hussein has them. Duh.

It was an interesting morning being in the belly of the beast as I've never been before. These people are scary. And they are stupid. And yes, they smell.

If the good people can be given time to leave, maybe a nuke on L.A. might not be a bad thing. It is a third world cesspool.

Like dogs, neutered or not who just cannot stop licking themselves, these dregs haven't anything better to do.

Probably just out for a walk looking for a dealer when asked to carry a sign that they couldn't read...

When I told my friend the Chinese threatened to nuke L.A., he said, "So what is the problem?"

How could I forget this chant:

Who owns the street? We own the street. Who owns the world? We own the world.

There were actually a few quiet, almost normal looking regular people there. I've often wondered, if they are indeed reasonable and just share a different viewpoint, how can they be associated the with scum of the earth?

my USS RONALD REAGAN aircraft carrier ballcap

I want to know where I can get one of these. I am the only conservative at my bizarre place of business in my bizarre county, and this would make a nice statement.

From a 20-year-old young "lady" -- "Hey, what the F is this? We can't cross the F'in street. Why can't we cross the F'in street? What the F is this?

I walked all three corners and was really disappointed when I saw no friendly faces or normal human beings.

WOW Doug....I am truly impressed you had the fortitude to do this. You comment about being in the "belly of the beast" says it all. I assume we'll be getting a parody about this tonight!

I hope I have time for a song. Believe it or not, tonight I'm actually attending a benefit barbecue at the home of a big RAT attorney in Claremont. It is a good cause, however, funding for the Nativity scene for Christmas in Ontario. I am going to find it difficult to behave myself there in the RAThole.

Hey, you didn't comment on my last song --- Dances with Wolves.

Oh, how could I have almost forgotten this episode. A communist had a table of materials. There was one tabloid size newspaper with some anti-Bush and anti-war headline on it. We had a brief "friendly" discussion regarding a headline: Stop the Slaughter in Iraq. When I asked if that story was about stopping Hussein from killing more Kurds with biological weapons, he didn't quite know what to see. Then, I asked him if his communist paper was free. He responded that, no, it was a dollar. I said to him -- wait a minute, that is capitalism! He shut up.
