Operation Infinite FReep 8-23-02 in Fresno, CA

Tonight's FReep of the peaceniks in Fresno, CA was attended by eleven FReepers. I counted sixteen peaceniks on the other side of the street from us tonight. I think that when there are lots of them in attendance, the response we get from the motorists driving by is louder and more enthusiastic than usual. There were a few who flipped us off or gave us the thumbs down sign, but at times the honking was really unbelievable! Hundreds and hundreds of people honked to show support for our point of view on this, Fresno's busiest intersection.

It was a pleasant and agreeable 90 degrees in Fresno today, so unusual for August. I hope this gorgeous weather continues through the rest of the summer.

After the peaceniks left at promptly 6:30 (as usual), we stayed another half an hour and then (almost) all of us went to DiCiccios for dinner and pleasant conversation. FReepers are wonderful people!

To all FReepers who weren't able to attend tonight, we missed you and hope you will join us next week. To those who were able to make it tonight, THANKS for coming! Your effort is appreciated!

I agree with you that the response from the public was even more fantastic tonight! They don't honk at the anarchists across the street with those signs that don't even make sense to normal people! LOL!

Dinner was so good, although I should not have had a glass of wine, I keep falling asleep at the computer! :) I want to give a special thanks to JKPhoto for making the dump Davis sign for me. It is so well done, and I appreciate it very much!

Thanks also to JimRob and Chris and Sheila for making all of this possible. It is a special privilege that Fresno Freepers have to be able to freep with you guys!

A funny thing happened tonight! A lady at the stoplight rolled down her window and commented on the music we were playing. She was yelling out the window that we needed to have that song by Toby Keith playing real loud, loud enough so that the weirdos across the street could hear it!

Since Chris did have that song on CD, he promptly started playing it as loud as he could!
I love when the passersby get into the freep so much!

Another car full of cute little children came by the second time and rolled down the window and spoke to me and Ann. They were curious about our signs, wanted to know if we were there everyday, and a tiny little boy in the front seat kept giving us the thumbs ups sign! So cute! They are being raised right!

Great FReep tonight - lots of response from the Good Folks - a little response from the Creep Folks. A really neat thing happened tonight. A soldier stopped to thank us for our supporting them the way we do. The soldier is from the Aviation Brigade, 40th Infantry Division. A really pleasant visit. Justamy got some pictures of her, we might get to see it if Justfrank doesn't get it when she get home

A member of our armed forces stopped by to thank us tonight. She is with the Aviation Brigade, 40th Infantry Division. After she came over to thank us and was trying to leave the parking lot, I complained because I didn't get her picture. As she was leaving, chadsworth caught up to her and asked about a picture. She was kind enough to come back, get out of her car and pose for pictures. She told us the peaceniks flip her off as she drives by and if she has to stop on their corner, they pound on her car or throw something at her. Real fine Americans, aren't they?
