Good afternoon North Carolina FReepers!
I sent out an e-mail to members of the Old North State Chapter back on August 10th.
I only got a handful of responses and someone suggested I should post an announcement on the main board, as well.
So, here are the particulars:
WHAT: First chapter meeting of Old North State Chapter.
WHERE: Howlin's house (see directions & Yahoo map link when you log into Freeper.org)
YOUR FR SCREEN NAME /PASSWORD WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE FORUM!
WHEN: 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 24th, 2002
WHY: Get-acquainted meeting, along w/ discussion of upcoming NC primaries and general strategy/direction for the future.
WHO: Any NC FReeper who wants to show up! You may bring your spouses, too.
Note: Mrs. CD and mykdsmom's husband are not coming. (I think we have talked them to death about FR already!) 
What to bring:
1) Any campaign or other pertinent info you would like to share.
2)Your beverage of choice and & something to eat.
I would like for us to have dinner together since it's at 6:00.
We can work out the logistics of that when y'all reply to this thread.
This will be an informal group - we are not going to have an agenda, minutes, etc. unless the need arises in the future.
My primary objective in this is to actually get something ACCOMPLISHED with regard to getting rid of our Democratic state leaders...
Not emulating their bureaucracy!

at present, my life is in a major upheaval. My husband is trying to get a fledgling business going, and I am going back to work after three years of being home with my children. 8 * (
This is the only week my husband will be in town this month. He will fly to NM on Monday after just returning this past Sunday. With all that is going on in my life right now, I probably wouldn't cast a very good first impression anyhow. ; * )
I truly wanted to attend...hopefully after all settles down I can attend later meetings. (After previewing this, it sounds like a bunch of whining...but I swear I feel like I'm on my last nerve!)
I missed the gun show in Raleigh on the 17th and 18th because I was out of town.
You just come next time if you can... I know how busy this time of year is.

It would be terrible if I had to miss, since I live only a few streets away from Howlin!!
