A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

SOME OF FR'S FINEST PROFILE PAGES #2
Many Freepers have taken advantage of the opportunity to create a Profile Page. The results of these creations are often illuminating, humorous, inspirational, artistic or biographic, just to mention a few descriptive words.
Below are some randomly selected Finest FR Profile Pages. There are, of course, many other Finest Free FR Profile Pages worthy of featuring, and we hope to do some of them in the future, perhaps on a regular basis. If you have a Profile Page you would like to share, or if you come across a Profile Page that you want to bring to our attention, you know the drill - freepmail Billie, Mama_Bear or myself.
In the meantime, take a look at Some of FR Finest Profile Pages #2
Drew68 has put together a Profile Page that is, well, a profile page in the true meaning of the word. He discusses his biography, his interests and his views and includes a few photographs of himself. His Profile Page is pretty complete but he says there are more links and photos to come. Take a look, (especially you single ladies as Drew68 is not married!)
Slyfox has dedicated his Profile Page to the Clinton Crimes of which he believes there are 234. He has listed many of them and has provided some graphics of Bill and Hillary Clinton in prison garb. And, heh, they look great in stripes...lol.. Thanks Slyfox for reminding us of what sleeze the Clintons were and still are.
CyberCowboy777 describes himself as an Originalist, believing in the validity of both the Bible and US Constitution in original form and meaning, with only a Conservative interpretation for the current times. His Profile Page illuminates these views. There are also links to Constitution Party (formerly American Taxpayers Party) publications. Also some photos here and there of President Reagan and John Wayne. This is an enlightening and informative Profile Page.
Hispanarepublicana has written an inspirational autobiographical essay for her Profile Page. It is a good read on many levels and is so cool that it has even provoked its own thread. This is one of the replies on that thread..."You are not only extremely wealthy, you have reminded a few others of us how wealthy we are, too."
William Wallace has created a very pleasant Profile Page. It consists of photographs and quotes of "his heroes". He leads off with one of our heroes, President Reagan. Next is Lou Gehrig and a copy of his Farewell Speech. Then comes Malcom Muggeridge. This is a most pleasing and enjoyable Profile Page. Thank you William Wallace.
Just Amy's Profile Page is Just Cute!! She has displayed her numerous signature .gifs (over 50) for us to enjoy at one glance. These .gifs were mostly gifts to her from her friends (such as St.Louie1 who is credited with over 50). Thank you Just Amy for putting a smile on our face.

"It's strange, you were the first person I thought of when I saw it"
Now I wonder why you would have thought of me! LOL I will wait until tomorrow to do anything with it, but it will be added to my Profile Page.
My biggest problem with the page is it takes forever for me to open it. I just click open and then go two loads of laundry LOL
Welcome kittens; I'll need help if these mice stick around!

It is cute, it is special but not as special as the ones she and Mama_Bear did for Diver Dave-that baby and little boy are real live people, his grandsons Well, I can't take any credit for the "Christian Pledge" graphic. Our very own creative Billie did it for me. I tried to make a pledge graphic out of it, but it didn't turn out too well. LOL!

You are on a roll today...lol... Speaking of rolls, it's about lunch time here. LOL!
I'll be back shortly and will continue to try to catch up from my late start this morning.

We make time to see movies and if they're pretty, we get the DVD when it comes out.
We saw "Blood Work" with Clint Eastwood last week.
Good movie !!
We're gonna see XXX this week, Barb doesn't like action flicks all that much.
I love 'em; they are a great escape... (big grin) :o)

Good morning, dansangel.
Take care all and please pray for all of us in the 4th District of GA. I am on "pins and needles" about the McKinney vs. Majette primary tomorrow. I have asked the good Lord to please let us have some new representation when we wake up on Wednesday morning.
We'll be sending prayers and thinking good thoughts that the voters will do the right thing tomorrow.

LAUGHING SO HARD! This has got to be one of your best yet!! Maybe you better take that logo off your page then, so daisy, who's clearly unimpressed with my work, will consider your page next time. :)

The owner of a small New York sandwich deli was being questioned by an IRS agent about his tax return. He had reported a net profit of $80,000 for the year.
"Why don't you people leave me alone?" the deli owner said. "I work like a dog, everyone in my family helps out, the place is only closed three days a year. And you want to know how I made $80,000?"
"It's not your income that bothers us," the agent said. "It's these travel deductions. You listed six trips to Florida for you and your wife."
"Oh, that," the owner said smiling. "It is a legitimate business expense because we also deliver."
