The following is a summary of the information provided on the California DNC website. It offers some eye-opening opinions. And, many oversimplifications and mis understandings. I chose not to copy their web site page, nor to cut and paste information. Instead, what follows is my interpetation of their data. I urge interested people to visit the site themselves to view the information first hand.
Democrats Fight to save Social Security,
While Republicans Fight for big tax cuts for the wealthy.
Democrats Protect our natural resources and environment,
While Republicans Protect the oil companies' bottom line.
Democrats Look for solutions to high energy bills,
While Republicans Look for someone to blame.
Democrats Believe in a need for a meaningful Patient's Bill of Rights,
While Republicans Believe that corporate profits precede patient care.
Democrats,Value scientific freedom and technological progress,
While Republicans, Value the $$$ of conservative fanatics.
The following will take you to the 2002 DNC Party Platform.

Once again, the Bush White House shows its true colors. Keeping his promises to the NRA, Bush and John Ashcroft have undone decades of responsible gun control, in direct opposition to the beliefs of most Californians.
I wish that was true.
Apparently, they're still trying to lock up the mental-age-of-seven set.
Even if true, what is the connection???
A Democratic president would fight to strip whistleblowers of government abuse of any protections
A Republican president would.. oh, that's right.. they did that, too..
A Democratic president would fight to stop racial profiling of suspects, even terrorists
A Republican president would.. oh, damn. There's still no difference!
A Democratic president would fight for expanded government authority over every facet of citizens' lives
A Republican president would.. gosh, this is hard!
Buy a horse, or in democrats case, an ass!
However, it cannot be stressed enough that these are examples of good propaganda, not examples of coherent thinking. These epigrams are basically slogans. Slogans tend to cater to the mindlessness of those who are susceptible to the charms of mass advertising.
Which raises a more disturbing question.
To whom is this website targeted?
The DNC in Washington and the CDP in Sacramento know that the average voter is apolitical and only concentrates on politics at election time. They are not like you and me, nor are they like the Sturmabteilungen over at DU.
The Rat leadership understands that websites like this are needed to communicate with the activist base that get out and walk precincts.
This is the scary part: these slogans are for the activists; these slogans are for their extreme left base voters!
These slogans are a window into the mind of the activist left. Contrast this with most of the stuff you see on FR. Now I grant anyone here that you see plenty of blak helikopterz posts, a White Power post now and again, and a general suspicion of Arabs on this board. Other than that, one of the things I don't see is the kind of mindlessness illustrated above. That does not mean that it doesn't happen, but there usually is a lot of back and forth on a thread to flesh out an argument one way or another.
Among Republicans in general, my anecdotal experience has been more satisfying, and somewhat more intellectual. As a group, we do appear to be more willing to argue points of theory and practice. We do appear to have more of an attachment to the Constitution as interpreted in the Federalist Papers. At least that's what I see on our activist level. Among "apolitical" people who happen to be registered Republican, there probably is little difference between members of our Party's "sheeple" wing and that of the Democrats. Each party's "sheeple" wing is easily led and persuaded.
There is a level of contempt for liberal Democrats not only on this board but also on other sites and among the Party faithful, but it is a contempt that is based on a fear that the Democratic Party prefers to operate outside of the Constitution. We tend to believe that one day its efforts (such as the attachment of the dominant liberal wing of the Party to gun control and gun confiscation or its strange attraction to speech codes and "hate speech" laws) could lead it pell mell towards an attachment to European totalitarianism and a dimunition of liberty here at home. Although we tend to share many first principles, I am not sure that we are as susceptible to the kind of addled sloganeering and agitprop described above.
I fear that the kind of thinking exemplified by the examples posted above are exactly the kinds of thinking that lead to fascism. At least, that's my two cents.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
I always thought it was 'cause it was easier to get chicks like Monica and Chandra?
Exactly. Scum-sucking bottom-feeding morons.
NEVER GIVE A RAT THE POWER TO GOVERN
Short answer? Successful lobotomies.
Ah, Free Speech.
This fund was looted years ago. Now its just an old fashioned Ponzi scheme. Neither side has the guts to say this.
Democrats Protect our natural resources and environment, While Republicans Protect the oil companies' bottom line. Democrats Look for solutions to high energy bills, While Republicans Look for someone to blame.
Had we allowed nuclear technology to mature, I firmly believe we would be independent of the middle east today. We wouldn't be burning filthy coal or drilling in Alaska. Neither side has the guts to say this.
Democrats Believe in a need for a meaningful Patient's Bill of Rights, While Republicans Believe that corporate profits precede patient care.
Damn, these people are stupid.
Democrats,Value scientific freedom and technological progress, While Republicans, Value the $$$ of conservative fanatics.
The anti-technology Luddites on the left and the moral fanatics/tax-spend-inflate crony capitalists on the right will do everything it takes to destroy this country's creative atmosphere.
