I was intrigued by the headline: "Why We're Democrats", because I never hear Dems talking about their fundamental principles. And sure enough, there were no principles enunciated in their site. Instead, Dems can only talk about their support for various government programs.
In contrast, Republicans can and do speak often of their principles, based on the notions of limited government and individual freedom and responsibility that inspired the Founding Fathers.
Why don't the Dems ever speak of their principles? Because they would be forced to admit that either they have no philosophical core, or if they do, it is composed of nothing but watered down class warfare and income redistribution.
