People who love trees: Farah holds earth-worshippers responsible for fire damage

They say we only hurt the ones we love.

Never has this been more evident than in the case of the so-called environmentalists who worship trees and serene natural surroundings to the point that they love them to death.

I speak from first-hand experience.

I own a beautiful property in the southern Oregon forest currently under evacuation order because of raging wildfires. My house, our company's corporate headquarters – and much more – could be destroyed at any moment by the out-of-control blazes.

Why have we seen such destructive fires recently in Oregon, California, Colorado and throughout the West?

Because, on the orders of our government and following years of pressure from the powerful earth-worshipping lobby, we've stopped managing the forests. We have stopped exercising good stewardship over them. We have neglected them. We have done everything in our power to ensure they burn. We have loved the forests to death.

It reminds me of the old story of the atheist taking a walk through the woods, admiring all the natural majesty.

"What beautiful trees!" he exclaims. "What powerful rivers and streams! What interesting animals!"

Just then he hears a rustling in the bushes and sees a giant bear charge toward him.

The atheist runs as fast as he can, but the bear is gaining on him. His heart is racing as he runs. He looks over his shoulder to see the bear is only a few feet behind. As he turns, he trips over a branch and falls to the ground. He looks up to see the bear right on top of him with a paw raised ready to strike a deadly blow.

"Oh God!" cries the atheist.

At that instant, time stops. The bear freezes. The forest is silent. Even the river stops running.

The atheist hears a voice coming from heaven: "You deny my existence for all these years, teach others I don't exist and credit creation to a cosmic accident. Yet, now you call on me for help? Am I to count you as a believer?"

The atheist says: "No, it would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a believer. But perhaps you could make the bear a believer?"

"Very well," says the voice.

In an instant, the sounds of the forest are back, the river is running again. The bear sits down. Putting both paws together, he bows his head and says: "Lord, for this food which I am about to receive, may I be truly thankful. Amen."

It may be too late for anything but an act of God to save my property and the homes and livelihoods of thousands in southern Oregon. Even though the fire is no longer an "imminent" threat, it is still only 10 percent contained, and – so far – is the sixth largest fire in Oregon history.

But it's not too late for the American people to wake up to the scam that has been perpetrated on them by their own government – now fully captive to the earth-worshipping pagans who are, quite literally, loving our environment to death.

This is not the way it is supposed to be.

It reminds me of a passage of scripture – Deuteronomy 28: 36-42 – which explains what happens when we serve "other gods, wood and stone."

"The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

"And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

"Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

"Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

"Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.

"Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.

"All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume."

. . . fully captive to the earth-worshipping pagans who are, quite literally, loving our environment to death.

It's all been a ruse. These people have never been motivated by a love of trees (how absurd!), but by a hatred of their fellow man.

And a hatred of capitalism. The intent is to close down businesses, as well as herding people off their land into cities to live - forced relocation.

This has nothing to do with loving the earth. These are communists trying to destroy our natural resources in an attempt to regulate where we live and what we live in. This is land control from the socialist perspective and it has not improved yet with the current administration.

We know what we are and have been doing wrong in regard to our forests. We were "warned" that this would happen.

Yes they are beautiful and yes they do serve a purpose.

But a chief purpose of our forests has been disregarded by the environmentalist whackos.

It is a usable, renewable commodity and should be farmed (logged).

Millions of acres have been destroyed. Hundreds of homes have been burnt down. Men have lost their lives. Animals have lost their lives. The atmosphere has been polluted for "NO REASON" (ever hear global warning when these fires blow-of course not!) and we have lost the use of a valuable commodity..

If that's "balancing and preserving nature", you loony environmentalists better change your definitions.

You guys have hit a fire wall and what was predicted has occurred. You have harmed our people and our world with your power and that is a violation of the laws of mankind.

With all due respects for the great Farrah, I believe that the cause for the great fires is the fact that the government offers firefighters great salaries to fight the fires in areas where employment is not as readily available and renumerative.

If this sentence is not borne of sarcasm, then I nominate your post for 'Dumbest of the Day'.

Out of all the fires that have been started by man over the past 10 years, barely a few at most have been set by a firefighter looking for more work.

These fires are the direct result of the years of success enjoyed by the Sierra Club and other rabid environmental organizations. Now that we've seen the results of their success, maybe we can return to common sense stewardship of our forests.

You're right. They're nothing but a slow motion, incremental Khmer Rouge.

As a tree lover since my boyhood climbing days, I realize the more we support commercial uses for wood, the more trees and forests we'll have to enjoy.

Those who subscribe to the "Recycle paper, save a tree" are precisely wrong.
