MUSLIM MERCHANTS BOYCOTT NEW YORK POST (Muslims refusing to sell paper)

MUSLIM MERCHANTS BOYCOTT NEW YORK POST

Muslim and Arab-American merchants in the New York City area report to CAIR they are boycotting sales of the New York Post because of that newspaper's alleged anti-Muslim, anti-Arab bias and the failure of editors to offer sufficient right-of-reply to negative articles.

Boycott organizers say almost 500 merchants are taking part in the campaign by refusing to sell the Post in their newsstands, grocery stories or other businesses. In Staten Island alone, some 100 merchants have joined the boycott.

The campaign apparently began spontaneously, but is now coordinated by a Brooklyn-based organization called the Arab-American Muslim Federation.

Representatives of the group recently met with Post officials, but could not resolve their differences.

If you don't see the Post in their stores, then don't shop there. Boycotts can go both ways.

These morons don't understand the economics of newspaper sales. While stores make some money from selling 25 cent newspapers, the main reason they do it is to bring in people to buy other items (cigarettes, candy, soda, etc).

If they don't sell the Post, they will lose all of those customers.

And, as many have pointed out, they have self-identified as radical Moslems.

Liberals are always fond of pointing out that you couldn't tell that the shoebomber or Jose Padilla was a Moslem just from looking at him.

Well, these shopkeepers have provided a solution to that problem.

"So folks, if you go into a store run by Muslims and they DON'T carry the Post, you will know to take your business elsewhere."

Really, if you walk into a store run by Muslims, you ought to take your business elsewhere.

Oh, and by Sunoco gas when you can : Sunoco doesn't import oil from the Saudis.

Well, y'all, I'm off to buy myself several copies of the New York Post, my new favorite newspaper. Let's let this backfire in a big way.

I'm curious: it's a little off topic, but why doesn't Sunoco buy oil from the Saudis? Is it a political position?

Put the protesting dirt bags out of business.

Bad publicity is better than no publicity. I suspect you will find that the fallout against the Post will result in a significant increase of readership. Folks will want to know what the liberal rags are not telling them about the enemy.

I don't know. Most likely it's just an economic one.

"Did Yogi tell you this?"

I love that commercial, but I wonder how many younger folks will even know who is in the commercial, and get the joke of it.

Imagen if we all stuck together and boycott them! They would be forced to go home, to their beloved countries of origin, and fight for their cause there! Not to mention, the rest of the "libral" country would see them for what they really are... guess you won't see any of this on any networks news though...

so don't be surprised if news stands that sell the NY Post burn or blow up

Funny you should mention that, had the same thought myself. Could even be the start of a new protection racket in the Big Apple. Come to think of it, I'd be surprised if newsstands selling the Post don't get attacked in some way.

I couldn't think of a wiser business move, considering the fact that it's the same town where 3000 Americans were murdered in the name of Allah.

Perhaps they could really take a moral stand, and stop selling XXX magazines, tobacco, condoms, and rolling papers at those same newstands.

Daniel Pipes works at the Post. I'll bet they're mad at him for telling the truth.

And if they are not selling that paper maybe it's worth a call to the INS to see what other papers thay can't produce. There may be a positive trend here.

"Come to think of it, I'd be surprised if newsstands selling the Post don't get attacked in some way."

Me too. Days after a Muslim Boycott of American products was announced, some radical Muslim Einstein bombed a ketchup bottling facility in India. Then came the Muslim boycott of Starbucks, and one in Labanon and another in Oregon were sort of semi- bombed: bad bombs; only minor damage.

Unfortunately, paper makes better fuel than brick and mortar.

About the protection racket idea: scary thought, especially because it's so very possible. After all, it would be expanding only slightly on the idea behind Je$$e Jacka$$'s Rainbow Push protection racket.

*Giggle from young punk Freeper*

When did phone calls cost a dime? Didn't you have cell phones back then? =)
