A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/1/02

President Bush was granted trade promotion authority today by the Senate, and later thanked them for working so hard on this issue. Bush also met with Jordan's King Abdullah and discussed the war on terror, the crisis in Israel, and future actions against Iraq. Although King Abdullah made it clear that an attack on Iraq could lead to unrest in the entire region, Bush made it clear that he would not change his mind regarding a regime change. On the lighter side, Bush signed the Nursing Reinvestment Act of 2002, which will create federal assistance programs for nursing students as well as support a public service campaign encouraging people to become nurses. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I read that ... about them taking Traficant's piece off of him. I was totally astonished. I must be incredibly naive, but I couldn't believe that he would intentionally wear such a bizarre and artificial looking hairpiece, so I just assumed it was really weird natural hair.
Duh!!!

Painting? No kidding! What did you paint? Guess what I learned how to do last week? Texturing. Mr. Mc is in awe of my new skills.

There's no doubt that your wonderful son is performing a very special task for the Lord, as well as for our country. Our prayers are with him and you!

Let's hope that even though the Senate chose to give Toricelli a little slap on the hand, that the electorate is harder on him.
His opponent will certainly have plenty of ammunition to use. It will just depend on whether the voters want a democrat, even if he is a crook. They have demonstrated just that in the past so ...
But we can hope.

Tell me about texturing in Freepmail, if you get a chance, I'd LOVE to hear!
I just finished the painting the bedroom and taping the bathroom. I'll tell you more in Freepmail. Thanks for asking - my fingers and forearm are soooo tired. --But it's a good kind of tired ;-)

Terrific report on Eric. Sounds like he really enjoys the macho boom boom stuff. I will continue to keep him in my prayers.

Rintense: Welcome back!!
All: For those of you 'abit nervous about the stock market, I thought you might enjoy the following article from the Wall Street Journal:
http://opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110002065.
Actually, the only thing that concerns me about the market is the short-term political impact that it might have our Dubya. I have to remind myself that at this point in his presidency, Clinton had poll numbers in the 40s and eventually lost majorities in both houses of Congress for the first time in decades. He was declared dead politically and yet still managed to get re-elected.
Politics is a fickle, business; fortunately, our Dubya is protected from this 'fickleness' by the 3 Fs: faith, family and friends. [I could have added BushBabes/Bucks but it would have ruined my alliteration!]

Okay, expect freepmail, but it will have to wait until later or in the morning. Can't wait to read your remodeling adventures. Got to run. Mr. Mc just walked in from a hard afternoon on the golf course and Little Miss Mc is begging for the computer. Night all!

I wouldn't hold much hope for the electorate to turn on the Torch. After all, it is New Jersey (my home)- and Jersey, I'm sorry to say, leans left most of the time.

I think this coming month of August needs to be an intense time of prayer for those who believe in praying - because the enemy will be hard at work. He is hard at work right now, and on this forum. Pray for the truth to be made clear about our President, and that the attacks against him be thwarted.
The more I see Tom Daschle, the more I believe he is evil. I am praying that his obstruction of the ban of the horror of partial birth abortion be crushed.

I couldn't agree more. I do not agree with everything he proposes, But I support him 100%. I refuse to join up with the belly achers around here who constantly complain and contribute absolutely nothing. If I have a problem with a proposal I voice my concerns to my represenatives. Trashing the Commander-in-Chief here on FR only reduces all of us to the level of the misirable souls over at DU.
I believe the usual suspects around here that constantly complain are among those who have no friends who will put up with their constant whining. So they come here to satisfy their needs :-)

I think Dubya is okay, but we need to give him The Senate!
I wish we had a better candidate in Texas against Kirk than Cornyn, he's a decent man, but very blah! I still think he'll win though.
You know, Kirk has very little in the way of credentials... he got elected mayor of Dallas, but he wasn't popular and didn't do that good a job, but somehow he managed to Give the Impression that he was popular and that he did a good job.
That's a democrat talent!

If you knew how very
good and
sweet this kid is, you'd think it was even funnier! (Well, especially if you were a Cleveland Browns' fan!)
A lot like the President.......soft and gentle on the outside, tough as nails when riled. I wouldn't mess with either of them!

Now you've got me curious. Something dark? It must match the other tables in the room (see other pix) Mahogany maybe? And, yes, lots of buffing with Pledge every day ;-)
