A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/1/02

President Bush was granted trade promotion authority today by the Senate, and later thanked them for working so hard on this issue. Bush also met with Jordan's King Abdullah and discussed the war on terror, the crisis in Israel, and future actions against Iraq. Although King Abdullah made it clear that an attack on Iraq could lead to unrest in the entire region, Bush made it clear that he would not change his mind regarding a regime change. On the lighter side, Bush signed the Nursing Reinvestment Act of 2002, which will create federal assistance programs for nursing students as well as support a public service campaign encouraging people to become nurses. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That the NY Times would roast a Democrat is a big surprise. I'm glad they did it, but why did they do it? I thought they were loyal yellow dog DemoRAT types. Thanks for posting that information.
Not that I will ever expect a truthful or fair article about any Republican from them ever!

Well, nite all - got a big day tomorrow:
Friday Press Conference & Rally Against the Governor's Tax Increases
We're showing our support on Friday for the San Diego Republican Legislative Delegation and their steadfast opposition to the Governor's Budget!
Assemblymembers Patricia Bates, Dennis Hollingsworth, Jay La Suer, Mark Wyland and Charlene Zettel; Senators Jim Battin, Ray Haynes, and Bill Morrow are invited to this press conference and rally in opposition to the irresponsible state budget being pushed by the Governor and legislative Democrats.
If you, or anyone you know, lives in or near San Diego, and they would like to join us, it's in the afternoon...have them get in touch with me by Freepmail.

I'm glad I finally did register. I look forward to checking in every night. FR is wonderful. I had a cousin who is registered and he encouraged me, but he was discouraged by all the flaming going on and quit posting anything.
The html is a daunting prospect, and the flamers and Bush bashers angered me. That is why I just lurked for a year.

It is all on perception. We here in Texas need to get on with the work of bring out the vote and getting people registered to vote. We are doing that this weekend in Fort Bend county. Now is the time to get to work. People, volunteer to help out the candidates and pray and pray and pray that the evil ones who support abortions, higher taxes and keeping the poor poor and undeducated do not get elected.

I painted it Behr's "Antique White," LOL .. I used the same stuff and color on my walls
I was tired of the kiddies marking up the walls so I put a pine wood with chair rail on the bottom part of the wall and painted the top Behr's "Antique White ..

Am I first?!
To: ohioWfan
Wasn't it your daughter that went on a mission trip to Central America? Or a niece, perhaps? Or am I just way off base entirely?
To: homeschool mama
Always, Sweetie, you're always first. And that is the truth. :-)
To: homeschool mama
Close.

I lurked for several months, myself, and just registered a few days ago. The deal was sealed when I saw what fun everyone was having on this thread, especially when everyone starts comparing pictures ;-)
Speaking of fun, I'm listening to "Pilgrim" by Enya and it makes me think of Dubya...kind of funny, actually. You'd think "Deuling Banjos" would fit him better, but you never know with music. Anyway, can you think of a song that you think fits the president to a tee?
