[history]
The "wascally wabbit," who's faced down Elmer Fudd, Marvin the Martian and Yosemite Sam, has come out on top again: According to the latest issue of TV Guide, Bugs Bunny is the greatest cartoon character of all time.
Bugs is also the only character from the pre-television animated-short golden age to make the magazine's top 10.

That was close, Oztrich Boy.
But I have to put my foot down. NO, absolutely NO pictures of Rei Ayanami are allowed on this thread. Especially any vidcaps from Death and Rebirth.^_^
Asuka Langley is always good for a laugh, however.
Oh, the less seen of this guy....
....the better.

Speed Racer makes it, but Bart Simpson doesn't? Give me a break! Well, I agree that Bart was slighted here, but Speed deserves to be on the list. After all, he survived the...

Popeye missing from the list is definitely the biggest shocker. I would have pegged him for the top 10 and here he doesn't even crack the top 50. I wonder if Bluto had something to do with getting Popeye's name off the ballot.

Thanks for the great stills (especially of Neon Noodle) and of 'The Great Piggy Back Robbery'. I can manage to recall much of the dialogue as well, but the titles to the toons are another thing ;-) Come to think of it, didn't Porky "play" a cabbie giving Daffy a lift to the hideout in this one?...

Yup. :-) You're right. Daffy also bumps into Sherlock Holmes while he tries to track down the piggy bank robbers.

Thank goodness there was a Mel Blanc, the greatest voice talent of them all. Thanks Mel for Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, Barney Rubble, Sylvester and so many more. God rest your soul.......... Charles Martel's linked image below seems to have dropped out, but I know the animation cel that he posted. It's worth seeing, so here it is again, slightly smaller:

LOL! Priorities indeed! ;-) I wish more people knew of Cowboy Bebop. It really is a work of art. The picture of the cast that you posted is from the side of the DVD boxed set of the series, that I also happen to have. ;-) Thanks for your contributions.

Cartoons are one thing, but what I want to know is what your lunchbox looked like? And try finding an original one nowadays. I recall Leonard Nimoy almost jokingly offering his first-born child for one.

Fuggedaboudit. I've looked - believe me. I recall another auction web site offering one a couple of years ago, but it had big rust holes in the lid and the thermos was missing. (It had been stored in a barn since '68 under a leaky roof).

Thanks for the link. That might be worth a flight to whomever is auctioning it to check it out. My Spidey-Sense is tingling though - it looks a little bit TOO good.
