Thank goodness there was a Mel Blanc, the greatest voice talent of them all. Thanks Mel for Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, Barney Rubble, Sylvester and so many more. God rest your soul..........

Charles Martel's linked image below seems to have dropped out, but I know the animation cel that he posted. It's worth seeing, so here it is again, slightly smaller:

Thanks Cloud, Wow 13 years since Mel left us, I know there are lots of people who do voices but Mel Blanc's ability to do so many was a wonder. My favorite Bug's cartoon had to be the one where Bugs calls out the square dance to the two hillbillies. Mel singing in all those voices was just the added touch that made those old Warner Bros. cartoons the best. But I also enjoyed the Hanna Barbera toons too, Snagglepuss, Wally Gator, Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jenks(sp?)
Huckeberry Hound ect. I think it was Daws Butler who did a lot of the voices for H-B. He was a close second to Mel Blanc in MHO.

Here's a list of great cartoons from the past, which were just fun, hilarious and could only have happened in the good old USA!
1 Bugs Bunny- A good one was with Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd and Daffy keeps getting his head blown up(shotgun) and his beak is on his head differant every time- very politically incorrect
2 Foghorn Leghorn-"Fortunatly I keep my feathers numbered for occasions like this."( or close to that after losing his feathers after getting blown up or was it stuffed through the knothole in the fence?)
3 Fred Flintstone was just a great cartoon character based on Jackie Gleason and the Honeymooners. Alan Reed was the original voice and made the original Fred the best with his ability to have Fred sing, do all kinds of accents, he just made the character hilarious.
4 Roger Ramjet was so funny, with Gen. Leadbottom(?) always getting roasted as Roger and his Eagles would take off. Also the one wheeled robots were fun as they would be smashed by Roger after he took his Super Proton Energy Pill that would give him the power of 20 atom bombs for a period of 20 seconds. Too funny!
5 Snagglepuss- "Exit, stage left."
6 Wally Gator- With the voice that sounded like Ed Wynn, always trying to escape the zoo and always finding out that the zoo wasn't so bad after all.
7 Yogi Bear and BooBoo Bear- This was a classic from Jellystone Park, "I'm smarter than the average bear,Boo Boo!"
8 Yakky Duck and Chopper and Fibber Fox, "Now close your itty bitty eyes Yakky" as Chopper would once again save Yakky from Fibber Fox.
9 Top Cat, With the voice of Phil Silvers or a good impression, was a good one.
10 Popeye- the old one when Popeye talked a mile a minute and his mouth never moved. These were better than the newer ones in MHO. So many great fun memories from my youth and now probably half of them would be politically incorrect.Would love to see them all again!!
