HENRIETTA, Okla. – Authorities believe an 8-month old girl was raped orally, vaginally and anally here Friday night.

The girl was taken by air ambulance to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa Saturday after a call to authorities from the little girl’s grandmother. The grandmother was alerted to the girl’s condition Saturday morning by the child’s mother.

Doctors say the child suffered a broken pelvis, fractured palate and broken ankles. Another child living in the home, a 3-year-old girl, was taken into state custody.

Stay tuned to Oklahoma's NewsChannel 4 and KFOR.com for more on this story.

sounds like the Mom was covering for someone, doesn't it?

Yep! Also note that the 3-year old was removed from the home. I'd bet big bucks on the mothers boyfriend.

Question is, someone was taking care of that little girl between the rape and when police were finally called. Did they think what was obviously visible would just go away?

Sounds to me like this whole damn group somehow got past the Darwin filter.

too many people on here speculating that it was some sick middle-aged pervert who doesn't (gasp!) go to church.

It could very well be another child at fault, who may have even gone to Sunday School the next day. I have encountered some extreme sickos in churches too.

I agree wholeheartedly with JMJ333.

My father use to say that you can always judge a society by how they value and care for their children and their elderly.

This nation has legalized abortion. The new message for our elderly and their families is the concept of "Death with Dignity".

Life and death should not be viewed as an inconvienence, but for what it is.

I suppose you can stick your head in the sand and continue to drum out the voices of the culture of death. I only pointed out what our society has embraced. And its the truth.

Again your self-righteous tone totally obscures your message. Thank you for proving my point.

I sincerely think it would help.

I still think public stoning could the best remedy for violent crime. Our sterile, humane, insulated methods of punishment don't provide enough deterrent.

I can't imagine an 8 month old baby in this amount of pain and the mom not getting her help immediately........you are probably right about Mom's boyfriend..........

You constantly make wrong swipes at people due to your preconceived ideas when ranting on about society going down the tubes. You imply that those who disagree with your blanket pronouncements about evil only being seen in modern america as "permissive" or in "denial",,it weakens your presentation of ideas because it is so insulting. Evil actions are timeless, they are present in every culture in every time. And I suspect a conservative judge would not look kindly on a lynch mob or vengence killing. And people who believe that abortion is acceptable do not take pleasure from raped and maimed babies. That is some peoples fantasies on this board,,

I like that one where the perp is tied up in a sack and thrown off a cliff. I'd suggest add a raccoon and a coyote to the sack but the PETA folks would have a hairy fit.

How about tying the sack to a bungee cord, so that the perp can relive the experience of the drop twenty or thirty times before he is finally thrown over without the cord?

When I was nine months old, just learning to stand on my own, I grabbed a steam pipe and severely burned my hand. Despite prompt medical treatment, the pain was so bad that my parents couldn't get me to stop crying for days afterward. I don't remember any of it.

She will have no memory of this

Conscious memory? No. Something in her will remember and this horror could maim her emotionally throughout her life.

This is almost as gross as partial birth abortion.

Not that it's worth quibbling over which is worse but, in this case, the attacker could actually see his helpless victim before, during, and after. It's just plain awful.

This carnival-barker aspect turns my stomach, too (from the original source):

It's little consolation, but this sicko most assuredly will suffer, and suffer for a long time, at the Maximum Security State Prison in McAlester.

Then may he burn in Hell forever.

I can think of a thousand ways to pay back the SOB that did this. But it sounds as though the mother was covering for whoever did it, therefore she deserves the same grisly death. Vlad the Impaler should return for these two.

The sicko who did this needs to be executed!

Before or after his trial?

Before or after his trial?

After, definitely after! That way we can see who turns out at McAlester to protest this sub-human POS's execution.

Every execution so far has had the protest crowd out with their candles and boo-hoo's.

There was a case similar in my area. I saw it on the nightly news a month or so ago. I couldn't even get to sleep after hearing it. A 9 yr. old boy had raped, sodomized, and murdered a baby girl (9 mos. old I think). The debate was over whether to try him as an adult or juvenile. I thought they should just give him the needle and put him to sleep for good. There is just no hope for such a wicked person. What makes me sick though, is some sick perv had probably done the same types of things to this kid...

There is no "probably" about it, it DID happen to him and he's acting out now.

Some kids who are sexually abused do not go on to become sexual predators themselves, however GOOD counseling with EXPERIENCED therapists can help decrease the number of future sexual predators if these kids get help as early as possible for as long as possible. The unfortunate thing is that the severely abused kids need life-long support. This is not to say that they are in continuous therapy their entire life, but they have access to good experienced help at various times in their lives - they'll need it.

You poor thing!! I bet your parents were besides themselves. I'm glad you shared that story. I have to wonder about the physical injuries if the emotional part will be ok ..and if they'll heal or will she have long lasting physical problems as a result.

"Another child living in the home, a 3-year-old girl, was taken into state custody. "
It sounds like this wasn't a stranger abduction....I guess we don't know who was involved and what the mom's role is yet..

She may heal quickly, but perhaps her reproductive capability has been injured and destroyed. That she may have to live with for the rest of her life. I also tend to believe that severe trauma leaves a scar somewhere.

Terrible thing to have happen.

"Our culture has been championing porn, free sex and homosexuality and denouncing any sort of sexual restraint. All reality is subjective and those who espouse morality are told to shut up and keep their religion to themselves. "

'Some' in our culture do but I would disagree that that is all we are about. The idea that reality is subjective is absurd.

I resent you condemning all of us for the evil deeds of a few. Thats a liberal ploy. Why not blame those responsible and leave all the hand wringing to the liberal touchy feely sorts?
