HENRIETTA, Okla. – Authorities believe an 8-month old girl was raped orally, vaginally and anally here Friday night.

The girl was taken by air ambulance to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa Saturday after a call to authorities from the little girl’s grandmother. The grandmother was alerted to the girl’s condition Saturday morning by the child’s mother.

Doctors say the child suffered a broken pelvis, fractured palate and broken ankles. Another child living in the home, a 3-year-old girl, was taken into state custody.

Thank you for your truthful words. I agree. My only solace when hearing about this as well as the last two little girls the one in Orange Co. CA and more recently in MO and I'm sure countless other little girls we have never heard of... what goes around, comes around. I hope and pray there is a special hell for the sick, twisted, persons who prey on young innocent children.

I think you guys are dreaming. I think FReepers are outraged, but judges, juries, and the prison system and parole idiots have no such outrage. Only understanding.

The typical person who does this sort of crime on an infant usually gets psychiatric treatment, a slap on the wrist, and probation.

If the infant dies, then, maybe, two to four, elible for probation in eighteen months.

At least the way things are now.

The American judicial system, in its infinite cowardice, devalues the victimhood of infants and children to the extent that you would get in more trouble for injuring a pet.

I wondered too. And I do think child sexual criminals are totally outside the capacity to have rehabilitation,,they need to be out of society forever. They nearly all have dreadful life histories but are beyond any redemption. And if the guy who did this was the mother's boyfriend and she didn't seek the law and help immediately, I say lock her away too. Once people crosss this line into sadism and violent behavior to children, they don't go back.

I am amazed that you rationalize the frequency of this sort of crime, commonplace now, as just a thing that all societies have to deal with. As if it is a part of all societies, all eras, all countries.

I completely reject the belief that this sort of crime occurred with any frequency in the 1940s, but that there was just incomplete reporting of the crimes on the radio back then. LOL.

Talk to old people. They will tell you that things are really going down the tubes. It is not just "sampling bias" because we now have 24/7 news.

This sort of permissiveness and denial of real societal deterioration, is what got us into this situation in the first place.

Well for one thing I doubt crimes of this nature would even be mentioned in the 40's as to not offend people's sensibilities. It would go down as one of those horrid crimes where the details cannot be mentioned in a family newspaper.

Now I am aware of baby rapings in South Africa where some superstition says sex with a virgin can cure AIDS but I haven't heard of many baby rapings here. The truth is disugusting enough, it does not need embellishment

Let me play the guessing game, you are frightened to death of the incredible surge of kidnappings and child assaults in the news lately, even when the stats show no real noticable rise is such monstrosities over the last few years. Did you stay out of the water last summer with the "upswing" in the amount of shark attacks too?

On second thought, the above may be a bit unfair.
