HENRIETTA, Okla. Authorities believe an 8-month old girl was raped orally, vaginally and anally here Friday night.
The girl was taken by air ambulance to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa Saturday after a call to authorities from the little girls grandmother. The grandmother was alerted to the girls condition Saturday morning by the childs mother.
Doctors say the child suffered a broken pelvis, fractured palate and broken ankles. Another child living in the home, a 3-year-old girl, was taken into state custody.
Stay tuned to Oklahoma's NewsChannel 4 and KFOR.com for more on this story.
No news what so ever on local broadcasts today. However, had a conversation with my daughter-in-law this evening that was eye-opening.
First, a little info on daughter-in-law. She works in child welfare (not for a government agency) here in OKC, and sees these cases as a constant and daily occurrence. She is highly professional in her field (Masters Degree, accepted into law school), and has several years work experience. I'm not trying to brag her up, just want everyone to know her background.
She told me she had heard the news from a child patient (!), who got it through the hospital rumor mill! She checked and found the info being passed around by the children was pretty accurate. Anyway, she told me that as a general rule, info about cases of child abuse was confidential and not released to the public, except by the parents. She said that in most cases such as this where parents go public, it turns out in the end to be an attempt to deflect attention away from themselves or a family member. In other words, in her opinion the parents got the media involved in an attempt to generate sympathy, and at the same time to appear sincere and grief stricken.
On one of my early posts yesterday, I made the statement that it looked like this bunch had somehow gotten through the Darwin filter, and I'm starting to think my first hunch was right!
I'll keep y'all posted if anything more comes up.
Regards.
HENRYETTA - More that two weeks after police first heard allegations of an 8-month-old baby being raped, authorities hope they may soon solve the case.
Evidence from a rape kit is being analyzed at an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation laboratory, agency spokeswoman Kym Koch said Monday.
"We don't know how much information we'll get from that now", Koch said.
The case involves a sexual assault in which the baby girl's pelvis, ankley and palate were broken. The child was hospitalized and treater for her injuries and since has been released.
The investigation has widened to multiple suspects, she said.
END QUOTE.
This is the first word in about two weeks on this little girl. Lets see if justice prevails!

Or better yet, nail gun the offending appendage to a rich pine stump, set stump on fire, and tie hands behind back. Then put said rusty blade between victims teeth.
Tulsa - An eight month old baby raped last month is now with foster parents after being released from the hospital.
8-Month-Old Rape Victim Released From Hospital The child suffered broken ankles, pelvis and had other injuries after the incident, which happened in her Henryetta home on July 26th.
The child's parents say they were sleeping in the next room.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating, but have made no arrests in the case.

Why wouldn't rape kit have been analyzed immediately? Why would they not think they could get much info now? Is this purposeful disinformation to keep the suspected perv from running?
Whoops a little mistake on my part. Thanks for the correction
But was the condescending tone really necessary? If it was in response to my argument or statements I made, I can see where you would simply make a snide attack. But if for a simple grammar correction, it was a bit rude.
My guess is they don't have any useable DNA, and are slow-leaking that the case may not be solved. Hope I'm wrong.
