F-16s Pursue Unknown Craft Over Region

"It was this object, this light-blue object, traveling at a phenomenal rate of speed," Rogers said. "This Air Force jet was right behind it, chasing it, but the object was just leaving him in the dust. I told my neighbor, 'I think those jets are chasing a UFO.' "

Military officials confirm that two F-16 jets from Andrews Air Force Base were scrambled early yesterday after radar detected an unknown aircraft in area airspace. But they scoff at the idea that the jets were chasing a strange and speedy, blue unidentified flying object.

"Hmmmnnn....I have a bad feeling about this..."

"I have the Senate bogged down in procedures. By the time this incident comes up for a vote, they will have no choice but to accept your control of the system...."

Thanks for the education! Nice to see that the PTB can recognize the truth when it hits them upside the head or when they can't get it off their shoes after stepping in it.

Actually, I was wondering the same thing. On another thread, a poster requested that some personal data (A username) be deleted from a post. The post was changed, but the personal data was still visible on the "historic" view of the post. In this case, I think that we are still violating the settlement by maintaining an archived version of the original full text post. The "historic" views are nice, but not if they defeat their own purpose.

Excerpted form the story (I believe a small excerpt falls within the "Fair use" provision):

1) Radar detected a low, slow-flying aircraft about 1 a.m. yesterday, according to a military official.

2) Controllers were unable to establish radio communication with the unidentified aircraft, and NORAD was notified.

3) When the F-16s carrying air-to-air missiles were launched from Andrews, the unidentified aircraft's track faded from the radar, the military official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

And then we have this:
For Renny Rogers, it was strange enough that military jets were flying low over his home in Waldorf in the middle of the night.

It was what he thinks he saw when he headed outside to look early yesterday that floored him.

My take of that there is *no* connection between what the F-16s were scrambled for and what Renny Rogers saw:

1) FAA controllers observed a slow-moving blip on their consoles that drew attention.

2) Said blip was due to meteorological conditions that caused an FAA ARSR (Air Route Surveillance Radar) to observe a freight-train rather than actual air traffic.

3) Policy calls for jets to be scrambled as a "safety" measure since the freight-train generated blip could not be contacted on radio

4) Renny Rogers hears the jets, gets up bleary-eyed and witnesses, off in the distance, what *he* thinks is the object of their pursuit: a passenger airliner reflecting moonlight off in the distance.

5) Whole story makes news on a slow weekend ...

That is an interesting way of looking at things Check . I'm with you in that I dont believe that we as humans are the best thing to have been created .

It just seems logical to me if 'ya look at it in terms of the math , odds are pretty damn good we are not alone . Indeed I hope that we are not alone , but that is all that I have on the subject . I have no proof .

They've got to do something.
I was abducted by space aliens ten
years ago. They did all kinds of
experiments on me. They've been
studying us for years, learning
our weakness. We've go to do
something before they kill us all!

If seeing is believing, then yes.

On Sunday, October 8, 1967 at approximately 9:00PM, I was standing on the 50 yard line of football stadium at Sacramento City College. The event was an Up With People concert. I was the Publicity Director for the sponsoring organization, Sing Out Sacramento, and had been coordinating the local PR and advertising along with the other sponsor, The Sacramento Union.

I had been taking publicity photographs from back stage. In the stands of the stadium, facing east, were approximately 8,000 concert attendees and on stage approximately 150 singers, dancers and instrumentalists, facing west, with very bright stage lighting in their eyes.

I had just taken a great silhouette shot of the cast against those bright lights when I noticed something in the sky.

A slightly glowing, pale white disk shaped object approximately three times the size of a full moon was floating from South to North above and behind the crowd! I watched, with my jaw agape, as the object passed silently (at least I couldn't hear anything over the music) behind the stadium light towers. It stopped dead in the air slightly to the north of the edge of the crowd... waited there and then suddenly shot straight up, dwindling and disappearing in less than a couple of seconds. The whole incident lasted about 30 seconds.

Nobody in the crowd (who were facing away from the object) reported seeing it. Only a few of the performers on stage saw the object, the glare of the lights was in their eyes... but those that did saw exactly what I did.

The next year I went to college and my dorm roommate had been on stage... and he saw it. He said it was Topic A on the tour busses for the next week as people argued about its reality. Those that saw it were certain... those that didn't did not believe them.

Remember I was taking photos??? Not ONCE did I even realize I had a camera in my hands while the object made its pass. DAMN!

Bushman made an intriguing reference about research into applying charges to objects, causing them to lose weight. And he hinted, with a smile, that the next generation of aircraft being developed were shifting the normal perceptions of 'mother nature' or something. I thought it was fasinating.

Interesting, about 2 years ago at a small fundraiser for another Congressman, I heard Congressman Henry Hyde speak of a new propulsion systems coming in the near future which will break known rules of physics.

Nice pic, eh???

Of course UFOs exhist...They have been sighted by over 30 million people worldwide...

I'm not sure Hillary exhists...I've never seen her in person...She looks more like a blow-up doll with clothes on, to me...

Seems pretty elementary to debate the exhistance of UFOs...I've seen a few...My father described some pretty strange things from back in the "40's"...They are there, all right...

The debate should be, "What are they"???
