WASHINGTON, DC, Jul 19, 02 (CWNews.com) - The US Senate on Thursday passed a bill protecting children born alive from being killed-- even if it the child is born during an abortion. The bill now goes to the White House for President George W. Bush's signature. The Senate passed the bill unanimously and was passed by the House in March.
The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act would amend the legal definitions of "person," "human being," "child," and "individual" to include a live birth that has occurred as part of an abortion. Supporters of the law noted numerous documented instances of children born during abortions who were left to die or were smothered by doctors.

Thanks, I did miss unanimously. Now, I`m worried, if Hoiiarat and the rest of the wacko Rats voted for it, got to be something we don`t know.

It's amazing that we even need a bill like this one. It should be obvious that it's murder.

Sounds like something for a Rose Garden ceremony.I'll second that. With smiling faces such as Kennedy, Boxer, Clinton, Nadler in the background..with blood running down their faces from biting their lips. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

"Don't ask about the abortion doctors selling the babie's body parts to a secondary market - Kinda like wholesalers. You might not like the answer!"
While paging through a biotech journal, I happened to come across an ad for infant body parts... the price list was conveniently included for those budget conscious ghouls.

This is still not a substitute for the bill against partial birth abortion. If you read the language - the baby has to be alive when completely expelled. It seems to me that partial birth abortion, which kills the infant before it is born, is performed to keep from getting into the dilemna of what to do with a live birth. I don't think sufficating babies has ever been really legal.
My concern is that this bill will make partial birth abortions even more necessary to the abortionist.
It seems to me that this was an easy one to pass - and evidenced by support by both parties. The next step is going to be the tough one - but it was promised. Don't accept this as a substitute - it isn't.

I would appreciate an email with the list of those who voted against this. That is, when you find out. Thanks.

Watch out you liberals,"THE CAMEL'S NOSE IS UNDER YOUR TENT NOW!"

Actually, this is incredibly sad. That we need a specific law to make it illegal from killing a child, a living, breathing human being, is sad. That somewhere in our great country, some group of people need to be told that it is EVIL to murder a newborn child is truly chilling.

This tells us a lot about the state of "compassion" in the state of IL, which otherwise considers itself so "caring" and "concerned."

I wonder if this is a better method to eliminate partial birth abortions ?

Inquiring minds also want to know if Russ ("If the fetus pops all the way out, it's still the mother's decision as to whether it lives or not"-paraphrased from an exchange with Sen. Rick Santorum) Slimeroad was missing this day.

And we ALL saw the opposite of morality when Hildabeast and Bubba became co-presidents. Fact is, the economic meltdown because of the accounting scandals and such as ENRON and Worldcom were the results of the sinkEmperor and his 'first bitch' and their climate of moral trupitude. Oh, they didn't write the bills that allowed off-books balancing, but their criminal enterprise party saw the potential and the 'bad law' was instituted. Amazingly (because the average American voter/sovereign is too dull to follow the truth when given or reject the democrap lies), the democrap party will hang the Pubbies of Senate and House with the lies the democraps and their media minions can dream up.

A BIG pro-life bump, for the future of America's children. It's a significant move towards increased respect for human life, but there's much much more that can and should be done.
