Update from OC Sheriff... Press conference..

Playing 911 tape of the people that found the body, male caller was extremely upset, and scared, he was crying, and telling 911 the location but the cell phone transmission was breaking up and was disconnected.

They called the telephone number he left before the disconnect and they called his home and got a messege machine. He called back within minutes and made contact again with 911 and was almost hysterical and crying saying it was little girl and was very distraught,

When Cell caller got home he called again from home phone and recontacted 911, 911 said they would pick him up and the he could show him where the body was.

Press conference continues, stating over 2000 citizens have given leads......

At 955 AM they made an arrest alihondro avial DOB 3-1375

I wonder if any of them work for 911 in my city, as when I called to report suspicious activity outside my front door one night - I was told it WASN'T AN EMERGENCY, and HUNG UP ON!?

To generalize that Avila was raised in an American "feed lot" like cattle because he is 6'/200# not only is illogical but it is totally irrelevant.

Assuming he is the perp, what difference could it possibly make?

Most Arabs aren't 6'4" like Osama bin Laden either, but he's still a mean, fanatical, evil SOB and his physical size and appearance don't make one bit of difference.

FWIW, in Mexico, as well as throughout Central America, it's not uncommon to see obese Latinos.

While it's true that "most" Mexicans are not 6' or taller, it is not uncommon to see that as well.

For example, my own brother-in-law is from Guadalajara and he's 6'3" and weighs 300#. Now, while it's true I can't stand him -- it has nothing to do with the fact he is a Mexican, nor that he's 6'3" nor weighs 300#. And, he was not raised in an American feed lot. He is a good father, and he is not a child molester.

You are right. These types of devoids cannot be fixed. It's a waste of time. Convicted sex offenders against juveniles should be given the needle. At a minimum, they should never get out. If for some reason they are let back on the streets part of their parole agreement should be that their face and hands are tatooed bright red. At least the kids can see them coming.

These people that prey on kids are totally devoid of humanity. Some of them are very cunning. There was one case locally where a mother was in a Wal-Mart with her two kids. She turned around and the 3 year old was gone. The mother went to the front of the store immediately and the store manager "blocked" the doors (they have a set procedure for this type of thing) . They found the child a few minutes later. Safe, roaming around the store. Except the child had different clothes on and their hair had been cut short.

Remember too that when your child stays overnight at a friend's home you must be sure there is no older brother or funny uncle living in the home that might have designs on your child. If you don't know whether anyone living in the home has a drinking problem, keep your child at home sleeping in his/her own bed.
