Update from OC Sheriff... Press conference..

Playing 911 tape of the people that found the body, male caller was extremely upset, and scared, he was crying, and telling 911 the location but the cell phone transmission was breaking up and was disconnected.

They called the telephone number he left before the disconnect and they called his home and got a messege machine. He called back within minutes and made contact again with 911 and was almost hysterical and crying saying it was little girl and was very distraught,

When Cell caller got home he called again from home phone and recontacted 911, 911 said they would pick him up and the he could show him where the body was.

Press conference continues, stating over 2000 citizens have given leads......

At 955 AM they made an arrest alihondro avial DOB 3-1375

I want them to now run the 7cm coarse dark brown hair that was found under Danielle's body through the offender database or compare it to Avila.

The chief mentioned crime scenes. He could be talking about just the pickup and dump sites, but I think there's going to be a third. A room covered with blood we don't know about. He was held in a hotel room for many hours, could that be it? I doubt she was killed in the car or along side the road.

Avila has worked since September as an assembler at the Temecula plant of Guidant Corp., which makes pacemakers and similar medical devices. A spokesman said the company was cooperating with investigators.

I do remember the gun-grabber numbers including adults. Tonight, looking in the phone book I saw an ad for "Child Locate" service, which said they recover a child every 72 hours but that one goes missing (kidnapping by stranger or family member, runaway, etc) every 40 seconds. That's pretty incredible. And disturbing if true. I can only assume that number must cover the world, not just the USA?

I heard the 911 tape first on TV KABC for the breaking news press conference where they announced immediately after playing it that they had arrested Avila as the suspect in Samantha's murder. Since then I've heard bits of it played during news stories, but not the entire call, which actually was several connections. (The guy who found her body was on a cell phone and it was breaking up).

They are playing, on the news, the most heartbreaking parts of his call, where he is simply hysterical. I can't keep my eyes dry no matter how little of it I hear. His voice speaks volumes of what he saw.

I can't even watch the children who are paying respects at her complex memorial site when they read poems to her in heaven and break down crying in the middle of it. A dad tried to finish his daughter's poem and he was crying too. It's wrenching.

My belief is that Samantha will convict this monster all on her own. They knew the suspect would have scratches. I hope she scratched the hell out of him so we don't have any "doubts" about who is under her fingernails. And when he is incarcerated he will probably encounter a Dahmer-like send-off to the pits of Hell.

I believe Cochran's busy defending the Inglewood teen the cops down there are in trouble over.

The Juarez, Mexico murders alone are in the hundreds when it comes to murdered & missing children. Adults getting killed too. That's just one city on the Texas border.

Isn't it strange that every TV program you turn on about the Westerfield trial talks about all the BLOOD found.

Isn't it strange that all that BLOOD really amounts to a small drop in the motorhome and a smear on Mr. Westerfields jacket.

Isn't it strange that neither of these spots was ever proven to BE BLOOD. The Tech used Hemostix which even they admitted on the stand was not a conclusive test for BLOOD. Serology tests are used to determine if something is human BLOOD. They did NOT DO THEM.

Isn't it strange that these stains did contain Danielle's DNA, but were not proven to be BLOOD.

Isn't it strange that there was exactly ONE spot in the motor home, not TWO, or THREE, OR NONE. Exactly ONE.

Isn't it strange that although the jacket contained 4 stains, exactly ONE had had Danielle's DNA in it. Not two, or three, or four, but exactly ONE.

Isn't it strange that these two stains matched Danielle's DNA perfectly, a 150 quadrillion to one chance. All 22 factors were perfect. Not just say, 18 matches for a 1 in a million match but, PERFECTION.

Isn't it strange that dry cleaning a jacket wouldn't damage atleast some of the factors producing a less than perfect match.

Isn't it possible that someone had a very small amount of Danielles DNA, but no BLOOD to smeak around. One drop for the motorhome and one smear for the jacket?

I wonder.
