Update from OC Sheriff... Press conference..
Playing 911 tape of the people that found the body, male caller was extremely upset, and scared, he was crying, and telling 911 the location but the cell phone transmission was breaking up and was disconnected.
They called the telephone number he left before the disconnect and they called his home and got a messege machine. He called back within minutes and made contact again with 911 and was almost hysterical and crying saying it was little girl and was very distraught,
When Cell caller got home he called again from home phone and recontacted 911, 911 said they would pick him up and the he could show him where the body was.
End of 911 tape

Well, yes, California does have the death penalty, but it's few and far between: click
However, God sanctions the death of a murderer. Contrary to the silly, trite arguments of those who say "only God can take a life," I offer the following vignette:
A man sat atop the roof of his house, which was surrounded by rising floodwaters. He prayed to God that he might deliver him. Along came a man in a rowboat, and called out "Get in!"The government of the people acts as the Hand of God in cases such as this, and God most certainly sanctions it. To say otherwise is to deny that God can act, IMO.The first man shook his head and called back "No, I'm sure that God is going to rescue me."
Some time later, as the floods continued to rise, coming just a few feet from the roof of his house, a helicopter dropped out of the sky and unrolled a ladder. The PA speaker on the chopper announce "We're here to rescue you! Grab the ladder!"
Again, the man on the roof shook his head, smiled and said "I have an assurance that God Himself will rescue me!"
Soon afterward, the waters engulfed the man's house, and he was swept away and drowned.
When he got to Heaven, he was admitted for his interview with God. The man asked, perplexed "But Lord, I prayed that you would rescue me! Why did you allow me to drown?"
"Well," said the Lord of All, "I sent you a boat and a helicopter. It's not my fault you refused them both!"
That may be so, but make no mistake, no matter how far it exceeds our ideas, we still have every right to our pound of flesh to send him on his way... and I say it is far past we started taking it. Satan may have his soul for eternity, but we have his flesh and it is his flesh that will pay the price in this world... his soul can pay in the next.
You made a direct hit!
That's a lovely thought but that would mean you would not defend yourself if attacked.
Amen!
Thanks. I jumped in late. Will have to go back and review the earlier popsts. The odds are of course overwhelmingly in favor of this -- it was no stretch of a bet.
You made a direct hit!
That was reported on post #5, however, it must be cautioned that without a SSN or other data, this could be the wrong individual with the same name and DOB
But probably unlikely. This is probably the same person. One just has to watch matching a name with DOB as there may be a few with the same......
thank for the link.
And I did not bring this sentiment up on this "crime thread", someone else did, I just agreed with their opinion of So. Cal, So if your debate is that I associate ONLY crime with California simply because brought up this in this particular thread, perhaps you should take this debate up with the original FR Members who originally brought that sentiment up.
But hey, thanks for telling me what I think.
I was just thankful to keep my daughters away from him, as I felt we had a very narrow escape. The police probably wouldn't have done anything anyway because I caught him red-handed at the intent stage.
I was so trusting of people back in those days. That episode really changed me. I'm mad at myself now because what I knew might have saved other children.
