Update from OC Sheriff... Press conference..
Playing 911 tape of the people that found the body, male caller was extremely upset, and scared, he was crying, and telling 911 the location but the cell phone transmission was breaking up and was disconnected.
They called the telephone number he left before the disconnect and they called his home and got a messege machine. He called back within minutes and made contact again with 911 and was almost hysterical and crying saying it was little girl and was very distraught,
When Cell caller got home he called again from home phone and recontacted 911, 911 said they would pick him up and the he could show him where the body was.
End of 911 tape
Press conference continues, stating over 2000 citizens have given leads......
Another press conference at 6 PM
At 955 AM they made an arrest alihondro avial DOB 3-1375
I can only speak for myself, but I have never opposed or stated any opposition to citizens doing their duty and assisting LE in any way they can.
The people who lack the perceptivenes to recognize the difference between this situation and the proposal for the insidious "TIP" bureaucracy probably also fail to discern the difference between volunteers and Clinton/Bush "paid" volunteers.
That's my last word to you on this thread. Continue to try to make hay for your viewpoint here on this thread of tragedy if you wish, but anymore replies from me to you will be private.
I can't even imagine. It is almost unbearable to me hearing about it and seeing that little girl's picture. I have a daughter. When she was that age she was picked up at school on the wrong day by another parent with whom we exchanged rides due to a miscommunication and it was over 2 hours before I was able to contact the people she was with. Those were 2 of the scariest hours of my life. I only knew she wasn't at the school when I went to get her. To have something like this actually happen is beyond horrifying. I cannot imagine the grief of her poor mother.

And people look at me odd when I tell them you couldn't PAY ME to live in California... But you must understand, I grew up there between 1983 - 1989. I remember when it was a small nice town, I even remember when they put the first stop light in, but from that moment on it all went downhill, and downhill fast. I've visited twice since then with no intentions of ever going back, and what I saw those last two times was nothing good.

Again...so you can read what you originally posted, kitty. You associate crime with California. Double hello???
I love living in this state. I'm sorry your experience wasn't a positive one. Perhaps it was the small area you lived/visited...don't slam the entire state by using one very small area as your slamming ground. What ignorance. 572 posted on 7/19/02 12:26 PM Pacific by homeschool mama
By the way, our California experience has been very positive.
You missed my point. I was merely noting the rank hypocrisy of outlawing "hate speech" on the one hand but singling out dehumanizing IMAGES on the other for special protections of "Free Speech".
I cannot believe -- whether it's your job or not -- that you can defend pornography as "speech". It is not. If you're going to try and hide behind the absolute Letter of the Law as some kind of strict constitutionalist, surely you'll agree that there is nothing remoting resembling "speech" or "communication" where porngraphy is concerned.
Were the State likewise consistent with regard to its Moral Wars on Nouns, no doubt we'd have some Moral War on pornography up and running alongside the War on Drugs prosecuted by a government clearly complicit in the marxist drug offensive and corrupted by drug cash.
Again, I do not support the War on Drugs. I believe that -- all things being equal where addictions of the passions and the purely animal physical are concerned -- folks would end up deciding for themselves what they would and wuold not like to have in the way of legal drugs and public sex in their communities.
I believe that -- just as it is the right of a father to lay down the law about what will and will not be allowed inside his home -- communities, cities and states are the proper authority for deciding what will and will not be allowed within their communities.
It is not for a Supreme Court who -- on a question so critical as the right to life -- cannot decide what Is is to turn around and tell us it's absolutely certain that "faked" cyber childsex is some kind of Legitimate, constitutionally-protected Free Speech.
It's nothing of the sort.
It's a depiction designed specifically to get a real ejaculation out of the purchaser whom they INTEND will become addicted and pay into the gabillion dollar porn industry if not occasionally "act out" and prime the populace to run screaming into the strong arms of the State who'll protect them from the predators whose perversions the State has specifically encouraged.
Makes no sense.
Unless of course you understand the win:win that is the State's conning folks into demanding as a "right" or a "Choice" precisely the bits of enslavement and death which most enure to the State's control of a populace of longpigs too busy masturbating to reassert their common sense and reclaim their true liberties by eschewing the Artificial liberties the State is only too happy to provide in the name of Free Speech and Choice.
The 911 caller (Justin) says they're on Killen Trail Rd about 1 mile in (East) from Ortega Hwy. Sounds like him and his buddies went up to drink beer or "kick it" after work and stumbled onto the body.
Sorry, but that's just circumstance. Might as well say "let's stop the free flow of folks across state lines," because some places have a lot more crime, and therefore a lot more CRIMINALS, than other places."
IMO, nothing could lower this act any more than it is, I don't care if the guy was a radical Islamist terrorist. I don't care about the motive; I don't care about who or what or what color this guy is. What he did deserves DEATH, and I hope he gets it--assuming Kalifornia even has the death penalty.
So the fact that I may have an opinion on this area just perturbs you that much huh? I wonder who is really worked up here? I know it's not me "pinging" everyone to my debate like I need some emotional support.
My opinion is based on many things and crime supports my opinion, but it is not the basis for it.
Let me re-post part of my post and take you thru it step by step, since you seem to assume quite a bit; I remember when it was a small nice town, I even remember when they put the first stop light in, but from that moment on it all went downhill, and downhill fast. I've visited twice since then with no intentions of ever going back, and what I saw those last two times was nothing good.
Now what I see that is "nothing good" is that the area, is that it getting over populated, real estate is sky rocketing, there's neon lights, strip malls everywhere, pollution, what seems to be a stoplight every 50 ft. , etc etc, and higher crime is a side effect that comes from all of these problems, And the fact that I chose to post my opinion here doesn't mean I think California is the only state with crime, I agree with some of the other folks here who don't find Southern California a favorable place to live. I actually explained myself, funny how people calling it a "dung hole" etc doesn't even get a comment from you... lol
You have bad teeth? Eeeew! ;o)
