......Every Day

FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues;  salute
and support our military and our leaders;  tell a few jokes;  learn a new
word;  write poetry;  pray for those in need;  and congratulate those who
are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which
we can express ourselves.

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.  I
can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands
of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.

Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!

And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

SOME OF FR'S FINEST PROFILE PAGES

Many Freepers have taken advantage of the opportunity to create a Profile Page. The results of these creations are often illuminating, humorous, inspirational, artistic or biographic, just to mention a few descriptive words.

Alberta's Child has created a Profile Page depicting, mostly, the Canadian Rockies with awesome photographs and lyrics that depict Alberta's Child's love for Calgary and surrounding area. If you love nature and/or poetry, don't miss this one. Thank you, Alberta's Child. I get a chill when I view your page and want to burst out in a hymn of Praise to the Lord.

Texas Longhorn's Profile Page has no graphics, no poetry. But it is packed full of links to politcal, engineering and financial sites. These links are arranged in a concise table which makes referencing these sites so very easy. Thank you, Texas Longhorn. I am sure this page took many hours to set up and I am also sure that it has been bookmarked by many freepers, especially those with an interest in the Financial Markets and politics, both Texas and local..

Whoever makes us laugh on a regular basis with her jokes, story telling and her keen wit. A view of her Profile Page will not disappoint. Less is often more. Thank you, whoever. You are a treasure.

CounterCounter Culture's Profile Page starts out very seriously with a thought provoking "Quote of the Moment." It then moves right along to biographical data and after that it gets really zany. Lots of photos and graphics with humorous comments. Thank you CounterCounterCulture for creating this eclectic and fun Profile Page.

ST.LOUIE1 has combined his professional expertise with his sense of humor to create a most entertaining home page. Not only should you not miss this one, but you need to go back to it from time to time as he changes it for various occasions. There is a serious side to ST.LOUIE1 and his patriotism and conservatism are also displayed, along with biographical information. Thank you ST.LOUIE1 for sharing your creativity with us.

Outlandish is acceptable - some 'tacky' things - and the three presenters will be the ultimate judges.
All I ask is that you leave in place the thngs with which I begin this endeavor - my pet UNWANTED POSTERS.
They were lovingly brought over from the Whitewater Days on the forum.

They are wonderful for us to vent our frustrations with the Liberals with throwing darts at them when we go there to post.
They will rotate as the whim occurs.
For starters, we must have the Bill and Hill Bandits - Gatling Gun Ann Lewis - Julianne Malveaux (mal DOES mean bad!) - Alan Colmes, etc.

Good taste is optional....note the lime green walls on the back wall, with zebra stripes.
