I get tired of the "the world is coming to an end" posts too...but in THIS case, we know one man is badly hurt. We don't know who. Might be a fellow FReeper, or the son of one of ours...in addition, there is a little nervousness about the fire spreading, casualty rates rising, etc. That's in addition to the possibility the explosion was deliberate, of course. I shouldn't have to explain that to you.

"Operation Isolated Incident" marches on. That's a good one. You ought to patent that phrase. Since we haven't yet seen a joint press conference with the DC Mayor, Police Chief and local FBI head declaring this an isolated random incident, it might be safe to assume it's not terrorism.

"As to Ridge, he has a record, and that record indicates, in spades, that he is one of the best damn public servants and savyest adminstrators around."He sure is. Actions speak louder than words.
To: L_Von_Mises
It is believed to have been a pipe bomb, according to FoxNews.

"We all thank you for that, but kinda wish you hadn't mentioned it. (Drawing up legs into protective fetal position...)"Sorry about that. The guy is so young...well, I hope he makes a full recovery.

I shouldn't have to explain that to you.
No, you shouldn't, but you did. I'm too immature and mentally limited
to really have a grasp on it though.
BTW, we prefer the term unintelligent little-people. Please. <:)

You're right about the incident still being a possible terrorist act and discounting it so early is irresponsible.
Would think some kin would have been notified by now. Why aren't they releasing the name of the victim?
