"What type of man LIES about his child to the court in order to advance his own agenda?"

I don't know, but his initials are: "Michael Newdow"

Yeah, he is the pastor of Unitarian Athesist Church. I'm not sure of the name.

I think that Sean Hannity had that data. It was posted here after the fecal matter hit the windshields from this decision.

My wife is in the health field. The day after this fecal storm hit, one of her doctor friends said that this guy apparently did not practice medicine in the state of California.

Then, she heard this on Fox and I'm sure that it was posted here during that week.

Maybe someone will either correct me of affirm that he is not a practicing MD in California.

Here is some data about this creep and his first attempt in Floriduh to bring this about.(Link to article on Creep!)

Here is the part of him being a minister:

Newdow says his pledge fight -- unlike AU's strategic battles -- is essentially personal. The act of 1954 infringes on his own religious freedom, he claims. He's a minister of atheism, ordained by the Universal Life Church, a controversial California entity that has ordained millions of ministers of all stripes and beliefs at the mere asking. Newdow says he'll be opening his church, the First Amendment Church of True Science (FACTS), soon, likely on the Internet. Atheists, he argues, shouldn't have to pledge to a God in whom they don't believe. He compares his refusal to that expected of Christians, who would surely refuse to pledge allegiance to "one nation under Allah." Atheists, he says, are among the last groups in the U.S. that are fair game for hatred and discrimination. (At least six states still have laws barring atheists -- who make up between 4 and 13 percent of the U.S. population -- from holding public office.)

That is, I want my children to decide on their own, as long as they reach their conclusions through careful thought and consideration (which, of course, would lead to my view. =)

FWIW, my wifes dad brought up her and her siblings in atheistic environment. Mom was nuetral. She learned the gospel while singing in the musical Godspell and accepted Christ 4 years later at age 24. About 12 years after that her sister and her sisters children accepted Christ largely by the influence of my wife and 14 years later her mother accepted Christ.

All of them wish they knew about God's love earlier and wish their father had taught the about it.

I thought you'd be interested in the thread. Nednow is a lunatic.

Why ascribe to lunacy that which can more easily be pinned on plain old holier-than-thou arrogance? (No pun intended.)

If there's no injured party, how can there be a lawsuit? Did Dada perjure himself, perhaps?

I was raised as a strict Catholic, and then I became an atheist later. My husband was raised very closely involved with his Presbyterian Church, and now he's an agnostic. It seems that people often go their own route.

If you're religious, you ought to be happy to see families like ours raising our children in an atheist/agnostic environment. My sons will probably turn out to be priests. ;)

I refer to them as the 9th Circus of Klowns. Every once in awhile, we get a good judicial ruling from one of them.

Most of the time they are ACLU anti America/Americans scumbags pushing the anti America/Americans ACLU agendas and the Watermelon Enviral Agendas.

"If you haven't already seen, I thought you might be interested in more info about your hero Newdow."

I agree with the court ruling. Separating the reasoning from the actors involved it is a reasoned approach to the coercion of the majority's religous beliefs on the minority's beliefs.

I am not all that wrapped up in Newdow and making him a bad guy, which he may or may not be, makes no difference to me. He could be a pedophile for all I care, but the court's reading of case law is independent of Newdow. He was just the guy that presented a case.

***The man does not work and was bounced out of Floriduh for trying this bs. He is a pastor at a so called athetist church. Shouldn't that phoney church lose its tax exempt status for his involvement in politics and religion. ***

Actually he does work...reduced hours as an ER Doc at a Sac hospital so he can devote time to his...um...cause.

In addition, he followed Banning and daughter to California. They were attempting to get away from him and he followed.

He's a jerk in the nth degree.

**Though the mother is an "active Christian", that hasn't stopped her from accepting child care payments from atheist Newdow.**

Why should she refuse child support payments for a child HE fathered? Are you unaware of law and need? Or are you just plain hateful of Christians and child support in general?

I know this woman. She's a kind and decent woman.

Even active Christians deserve to get money from deadbeats who father children. She may not have been a Christian at the time she got pregnant but even if she was, she deserves the money. She was good enough to father his child but she shouldn't be supported by him? Nonsense. He should have a part in the girl's life, for sure, but not this way. Her good should be his agenda, not big bucks for himself.

Maybe she became a Christian AFTER she was with him. I agree he should have a vital part in her upbringing, but he's just looking for a reason to line his pockets.

Acchhhh, he's worse than I thought! Don't want to stand next to him on Judgement Day! Ooohh. Let's pray he sees the light before then.

I don't hate Christians (though I do sense the hate coming from the Christian direction, especially in the posts on this forum). And I agree that she is entitled to child support.

However, he as the father is also entitled to have a say in his daughter's upbringing.

Is he also entitled to use his daughter as a pawn to further his own agenda?
