this appeared to have happened at the ticket counter, an area where I would imagine security is the province of the local constabulary. Feds and airline security don't kickin until after the ticket counters.

At Philly International, security doesn't start kickin' in until you reach the beginning of the pier like concourses. At least that was the case when I visited PHL on 11/30/01.

Air Mobility Command used to be called Military Airlift Command, and before that MATS (Military Air Transport Service). They use civilian airports for charter flights that handle servicemen and dependants going to and from overseas assignments. Makes more sense than using military airfields because the international airports can handle customs and immigration and passengers can connect to and from regular flights to/from their hometowns.

Im in the military, so I know about MAC... just didnt know what AMC's operation was like at LAX...

I'm only familiar with standalone AMC terminals like the one in Charleston at the AFB...

It's time folks. If individual Americans don't stand up to this, it's all over. We don't need all this "fortress" type of security. We just need to eliminate the problem at the source. If our government will not deport "all" of these folks, it's time for us to deport them permantly. Our INS is a joke. They need more democrats, so they will let anyone from any third world rathole into this great country of ours. We are paying the price of an INS run wild. Our politically correct idiots and weak wishy washy middle of the roaders do not have the courage to stand up to the politicians and remove them from office. This will not end until we do.
