Wouldn't exactly call you a "wuss".
You've pinched my ears a couple of times. LOL

Yeah, but wolves have big ears - easy to pinch. :)

Yeah, but you wanted to. : (

If you would 'pet' LouieWolf's ears....

...he might be a good boy. : )

One more Cardinal interruption (you owe it to me, you beat my beloved Brew Crew in the World Series)

Louie, did you ever watch Bob Gibson pitch? I only remember him because I used to get WGN in from Chicago as a kid, and he was, besides J.R. Richard, the most intimidating, nasty and fearless pitcher in history.

Every St. Louis hitter got a little space when Gibson pitched, because if Brock or Cepeda got nailed, Gibson would grease the opposition's best player if the game was late and comfortable. He'd dust the offending pitcher three straight if it was early in the game. He'd knock Jim Bunning, Jim Maloney or Fergie Jenkins on their ass three straight times. Then he'd drill them fat in the back in lieu of the walk. LOL!

Old time baseball. There is no way Roger Clemens ( who the Mets "targeted" after he threw the bat then headhunted Piazza - then wimped out) would have emerged from his time at bat unscathed against Gibson, Drysdale, Jenkins, Seaver, Ryan, Marichal etc. They'd have sent their two-seam rising fastball hurtling off his helmet as a "fine how do you do"?. You wouldn't charge the mound against these guys, either. They'd kick your butt and say thank you sir, stop by again.

Gibson was the master of all surly masters though. That's how you get a 1.12 ERA in a season I reckon!

LOL! Hate to break it to you Arne....I'm a Dodger fan. Hey, I like the Cardinals. : )

You're absolutely right about that! Gibson was before my time but he's legend in this town.

LOL!

That's when baseball WAS "baseball". Don Drysdale was the same type of pitcher.

LOL! Yeah, but when a fight would ensue it was a real fight. Not like the wimpy hug-in's we see today.

Gibson was the master of all surly masters though. That's how you get a 1.12 ERA in a season I reckon!

That he was....and still is.

Hey, man, I really respect your loyalty in hanging with that perpetually shitty team. ;^)

The Dodgers do EVERYTHING well this year. They move runners, they take extra bases, they find two out hits from their no. 8 hitter to plate men from 2nd and 3rd. Their catcher hits SECOND! Lots of good pitching from the Land of the Rising Sun. Don Sutton on the mound, Steve Garvey making kids out of wedlock like ringing a bell. Vin Scully's new, NATURAL hair style. Good times friend.

Billie, I hear a lot of booms and I see a lot of flashes in the sky. Is this part of our terrorist warning, or is something else going on tonight?
