Against Capitalism

"We already have too much economic growth in the United States. Economic growth in rich countries like ours is the disease, not the cure."

-Paul Elrich, Stanford University biologist and Advisor to Vice President Albert Gore

"I think if we don't overthrow capitalism, we don't have a chance of saving the world ecologically. I think it is possible to have an ecological society under socialism. I don't think it's possible under capitalism."

[Judi Barri of Earth First? quoted by Walter Williams, cloumnists with Heritage Features][Syndicate, State Journal Register, June 25, 1992]

"The immediate source of ecological crisis is capitalism."

"Capitalism is a cancer in the biosphere."

"I believe the color of radicalism today is not red, but green."

[Steve Chase,ed., Defending the Earth: A Dialogue Between Murray Bookchin and Dave Foreman] (Boston South End Press, 1991, p 57-59)

Abuse of the Endangered Species Act

"The northern spotted owl is the wildlife species of choice to act as a surrogate for old-growth forest protection," explained Andy Stahl, staff forester for the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, at a 1988 law clinic for other environmentalists. "Thank goodness the spotted owl evolved in the Pacific Northwest," he joked, "for if it hadn't, we'd have to genetically engineer it."

-Andy Stahl at a 1988 law clinic for environmentalists, staff forester, Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund

Psuedo Science

"Now, in a widening sphere of decisions, the costs of error are so exorbitant that we need to act on theory alone, which is to say on prediction alone. It follows that the reputation of scientific prediction needs to be enhanced. But that can happen, paradoxically, only if scientists disavow the certainty and precision that they normally insist on. Above all, we need to learn to act decisively to forestall predicted perils, even while knowing that they may never materialize. We must take action, in a manner of speaking, to preserve our ignorance. There are perils that we can be certain of avoiding only at the cost of never knowing with certainty that they were real."

-Jonathan Shell, author of Our Fragile Earth

"A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect."

-Richard Benedict, an employee for the State Department working on assignment for the Conservation Foundation

Sensationalism & Scare Tactics

"[W]e have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest."

-Stephen Schneider, proponent of the theory that CFCs are depleting the ozone

Mainstream Links to the Fringe

"I honor Earth First for having the guts to do the things they do. It's not for me, but I understand why they do what they do. And, ultimately, we all help each other."

-Brock Adams, VP, Audubon Society, quoted in the Los Angeles Times.

"The Wilderness Society and the Sierra Club regional reps were at the Northeast Earth First Rendevouz last year. We all work very well together. Dale Turner, who is the assistant editor of the Earth First Journal, was conservation chair of the Sierra Club in Arizona at the same time. I'm a member of the Sierra Club, the Wilderness Society and the Nature Conservancy."

-Dave Foreman, Earth First? Founder, in an interview in E Magazine Sept/Oct 93

Update: Dave Foreman was recently elected to the Sierra Club Board of Directors

Deep Ecology as a Religion

"If we seek only personal redemption we could become solitary ecological saints among the masses of those we might classify as 'sinners' who continue to pollute."

Bill Devall & George Sessions, Deep Ecology: Living As If Nature Mattered Layton, UT: Gibbs Smith, 1987), p 14

"More science and more technology are not goint to get us out of the present ecological crises untill we find a new religion, or rethink our old one."

Lynn White, Jr. "The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis," Science, (Mar. 10 1967), p 1206

Govenrment Enforced Birth Control

"Childbearing [should be] a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license.... All potential parents [should be] required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing."

-David Brower, Friends of the Earth

"The right to have children should be a marketable commodity, bought and traded by individuals but absolutely limited by the state."

-Keith Boulding, originator of the "Spaceship Earth" concept

Anti Human

"If radical environmentalists were to invent a disease to bring human populations back to sanity, it would probably be something like AIDS. It [AIDS] has the potential to end industrialism, which is the main force behind the environmental crises."

-Earth First! newsletter

"We in the Green movement, aspire to a cultural model in which the killing of a forest will be considered more contemptible and more criminal than the sale of 6-year-old children to Asian brothels."

-Carl Amery, Green Party of West Germany

"I got the impression that instead of going out to shoot birds, I should go out and shoot the kids who shoot birds."

-Paul Watson, founder of Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd

"The planet is about to break out with fever, indeed it may already have, and we [human beings] are the disease. We should be at war with ourselves and our lifestyles."

-Thomas Lovejoy, tropical biologist and assistant secretary of the Smithsonian Institution

"Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth, social and environmental."

Dave Forman, founder of Earth First, and presently a member of the Board of Directors for the Sierra Club

Ideological Ties to other Movements

In the 1930s the ecologists "Green Revolution" reached full flower in Germany...In the political sphere, ecologists lobbied successfully, for antivivisection laws,..implementation of organic farming,..and the redistribution of large land holdings to the German peasants (Back-to- the-Land movement)...These laws became the policies of a political party that incorporated a major portion of the ecologists political agenda. This party also believed in the "Blood and Soil" ethic, and was known as the National Socialist Party. Its leader was Adolf Hitler.

-M.Gemmell & J.Lehr

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quotes from The Environmental Peanut Gallery

"No one is predicting the extinction of life, nor man, but certainly civilization as we know it is at risk. This is not based on feelings but many sciences. The carrying capacity of the earth has been exceeded and we are currently living off non-sustainable consumption of cheap pools of finite natural resources we found lying about less than 100 years ago."

-Doug Bashford, from the Fido Environ conference 18 Jan 94

"Was the other lawyer Glenn C.? He has been our letterhead in the past, and got a gun back for me. . I'm with SAFE, and we have been loosely asc. w EF! since the good ol days... We stopped a $billion dam. We get Sierra NF all to ourselves, everyone else has sold it down the river. JP Bernhardt is a good friend who periodically publishes in EF! journal. He does poems and condor & compound 1080 stuff."

-Doug Bashford, from the Fido Environ conference 17 Jan 94

Thanks, I'll save this one in my "environment" section.

The liberals will save the spotted owl and humpback whale, sit in redwood trees for months to save them from being cut down, but when it's time to save a human being, created in God's likeness and image, with a soul, these freaks do not say or do anything. The earth and the animals were created for us to use.

And what they are doing is brainwashing the kids from kindergarten to College to their way of thinking. Many are taught to worship mother earth and not God.

We have just been handed three God-given opportunities to hammer the Left in this country until they ring like a cheap bell:

1- the "pledge issue." It went Nuclear-Hot so fast it was unbelievable, and while the Left is moving fast to defuse it, it has done a lot of damage.
2- the "wildfires issue." Every living thing fears wildfire, and it perfectly illustrates years of muddle-headed mismanagement.
3- the "waste, fraud, and abuse issue." The Left is desperately trying to draw attention away by using the "WorldCom" and other corporate abuses and fraud, but the Government is the real heavy hitter in this department. They can't even account for their own ( our! ) money!

You are right on target.

The left has given us these 3 prime time targets.

1. The pledge issue shows what the brains and muscle behind the Rat in office, the ACLU/Trial Lawyers really want for America. We must make that link more evident each and everyday. The Senate action by Da$$hole was just an effort to defuse the reality. Gray Davis has yet to say anything about this. His communist/socialist/ACLU legislators in Kali have yet to speak out on this issue.

2.The Wildfire issue is the perfect hand grenade to keep pulling the pin and lobbing into the Club Sierrians and other envirals who hate America and Americans 24/7. The Pope has just taken the world wide Envirals to task for their socialistic agendas that often harm the smaller countries targeted for their enviral agendas. You know my long time feelings on these Enviral Nazis. They are probably more dangerous to all Americans than the al Qaeda thugs/terrorists.

3. The corporate bad news in most cases can be broken down to bigtime Rats running corporations like Rats do everything. Most of these corporations donate big time to the Rats, their CEO's are Rat Power Masters/big donators to Rat politicians and they use an accounting service like Arthur Andersen as their auditing system. Senator Dodd, a Rat Sentator enabled this looting and lying of corporations with the bill he rammed through the Senate in 1995/96. So inspite the Goron and JINO LIEberman trying to blame GW, for corporate greed, that Bravo Sierra will not fly.

I would add a 4 th issue.

#4. The blocking of GW Judges for approval by Leaky Leahy enables 80 year old left wing judges to come out retirement to ban God. The lack of good judges is a great benefit to the Islamic terrorists and their supporters in America. The lack of good judges keeps the Rats who commit fraud in corporations still walking and stealing.

Your fourth issue is a very good one. We all need to assemble a collection of articles, links, and video clips documenting all these subjects, so we can remind the voters just "who stood where" when elections roll around.

I think that the Republican think tanks and political working groups are in the process of focusing on the blocking of new judges by Leaky Leahy. They will be opeding and using the internet to get that word out.

A prime example is that ancient clymer in the 9th Circus of lefty Clowns is 80 something and should not have been called back to duty in this backroom anti God manuever of the ACLU. We need more judges. He was manipulated by his other Rat justice, who happens to be married to one of the top ACLU rats in Kali. Both need to be impeached!

When we get this data and post it. FR's great indexers like you, Ernest at the Beach, Sea Mole and others will index this data for those like me, adults with Indexing Deficiency skills. Then, we will have the data to use.

I would add the illegal immigration issue, which is a companion to the Enviro issue being it affects the Southwest. Hopefully 2 hot issues for the comming elections in Arizona.

The final blow to me re the envirals was when we had the proposition against illegal aliens here in Kali.

At that time the destruction and garbaging of our outdoors by herds of illegal aliens was very evident.

The state, national and local enviral nazis of Club Sierra refused to join the rest of us in make it harder for illegal aliens to come into this state and country.

Then, it became very evident that they were a tool of the RATS and in some cases the RATS were a tool of the enviral nazis. They lost a lot of members with that stance.

However, we do not need to make this a race issue. No one detests illegal aliens any more than me. We can continue to point out how dangerous to all Americans these enviral nazis are in reality without us trying to play the race card.

I like your thinking, but the problem is, Big Business has been tied to the GOP in the past. As a result, we may have to figure something out on that front.

The reality is that in the past 8-10 years, republicans are not at the helm of these trouble making big companies nor holding the board seats.

The reality is a massive rat infection of most of these companies.

The fish wraps, the Rats and CNNCBSNBCABCCSPAN are all using the same tired old mantras used against Republicans re evil bad/big business. Whenever the Slimes or Compost have an article about evil CEO's, you never read that the ceo's are lifetime card carrying Rats and big time Rat donors, and the reporters/editors doing the incomplete reporting are life time card carrying Rats.

It is time to drag these elite corporate rats into the sunlight and identify them as life long card carrying rats.

Disney has just reported that it did an Arthur Andersen lite re profits. Disney from Mouse #1 down is a haven of life long card carrying and donating Rats!

You will find a lot more republicans owning small and medium size businesses.

Apple execs are getting rapped for possible insider sales when they saw upcoming quarterly profits before the stock holders. You probably can't find a republican as a senior exec in Apple computer. They are big time rats and donors to the Rats.

The state, national and local enviral nazis of Club Sierra refused to join the rest of us in make it harder for illegal aliens to come into this state and country.

Haven't some of the enviro groups in recent years come out against immigration altogether? I'm certain I've heard the Sierra Club mentioned in that light. Not sure if they distinguish Illegals in any way, though.

I recall a story a few years ago of an RV full of Cambodians headed from SoCal to NorCal for a wedding. For some reason, the RV was pulled over, and the cops found they were carrying over 60 endangered Desert Tortoises that they'd poached for some sort of ritual dish at the Cambodian wedding.

Kinda funny to consider the muticultural implications.

It is a requirement to be a criminal to even run for as a Rat. They believe in the Goronism: THERE IS NO CONTROLLING LEGAL AUTHORITY!

This started with JFK screwing everything besides his wife. The media made him King of America.

Then his worthless brother got by with manslaughter at the minimum and murder maybe, thanks to the media.

Since then if a republican was within six miles of a crime, he became the criminal. Rats could do anything from running a under age meat shop for homosexual predators like Barney Frank to the cattle futures of the Hildebeast.

During the big criminal, the Bent Clintoon's reign of terror, anything was fine. Jake Reno controlled justice, deballed the FBI and sent 900 key FBI folders to the Hilldebeast to control people. Of course their buddies the left wing media would spike any story of any criminal behavior. The ACLU would leap to their defense.

Of course there was NO CONTROLLING LEGAL AUTHORITY!

Now Jake Reno is shaking and wrecking pickups in Floriduh, and we have a controlling legal authority reappearing as John Ashcroft chases away the perverts left in justice by Jake Reno.

Mueller is flushing out the PC Perverts in the FBI left over from the Toon's/Reno. This is why they wanted to fire him re the mediot's lie about what he knew about 9/11 after he was sworn in on 9/4.

Most important, we have the internet and Free Republic to insure that there will be CONTROLLING LEGAL AUTHORITY!

The arrogance of the elite criminal rats will be their undoing in the next 6.5 years, and what they did the past year.
